God doesn’t abandon his people. no matter what they get themselves into in th eHebrew Scriptures, God always takes them back. The Jews will not be lost for sure.
Exacty! The Jews will not be lost, provided God’s little Caterpillars transform into the Butterfly’s that He wants them to be. So many of them already have - especially those who were blessed to start the New Covenant Church 2000 years ago.
The Catholics, it depends on whether Jesus was really the Messiah. If he were, then his genealogy should work out. The believers wrote it! And they thought about it for 60 years. Was he hte Messiah or a qack rabbi who thought he was the Messiah? Why do you believe?
Because the genealogy proves it ----- we’ve been down this road before, pcusack.

Who has suffered more in history than the Jews? Even at the hands of the Catholics. even Hitler was a Catholic!

The Book of Revelation is a Jewsih book some believe, minus the first couple and last chapters.

As for knowledge of Scripture, 'many perish for lack of knowledge" Are you suggesting that there should be no discussion on a thread like this dedicated to Scripture? Why are you on then if only the priest can read scripture? Perhpas that’s why the Church has lasted 2000 years. Even my mother’s generation were told by the Sisters not to read scripture (or else you might become a Protestant!):D.

Because He chooses to-but not without my consent. You really lack understanding of both God and man.
LOL - with your consent! You are so man-centered. God in your own image.

Romans 9 will do away with your human philosophy.

"So then He has mercy on whom He desires, and He hardens whom He desires. 19 You will say to me then, “Why does He still find fault? For who resists His will?” {“Umm God; fhansen says he can, just thought you would want to know; oh that’s right Father, you know all things…praise you Lord!”} 20 On the contrary, who are you, O man, who answers back to God? The thing molded will not say to the molder, “Why did you make me like this,” will it? 21 Or does not the potter have a right over the clay, to make from the same lump one vessel for honorable use and another for common use?

All those 144,000 are the Jrews. They haven’t been judged yet. Read Revelation and you’ll see that they are from the 12 tribes of Israel. St. paul saind “All of Israel will be saved”
He also said not all Israel is Israel. Romans 9:6 if you want reference.

Is Jesus the Messiah? If so how does an adoptee have a legal claaim on a Throne. If you could explain this to me I’d appreciate it.

BTW, your soul is translucent and takes the same age and form as when you die. The souls that had been judged by God at the moment of Death. O n the left the souls were packed like sardines in the pews of the Cathedral. They stretched out the back wall as far as the eye could see. On the right. there were three souls- all men. I think all three were Religious. One was about 20, one was about 70 and the other I could not see but only sense but not see…
I can’t explain that which makes no sense as you have typed it; perhaps you could clarify. I can say that Jesus is the Messiah, the anointed of God, but you lost me after that.

Its 144000 Israelites are saved. That only 12,000 Jews since Jews are from the tribe of Judah. The other tribes are gentiles now. So both Catholics and Jews will be saved -the perfect number (symbolized by 144,000).👍

Did anybody ever mention that the New Covenant Church is the New Israel restored?

The New Covenant Church is what God had wanted Israel to be, a Light to the Nations. As a nation, you failed. But its not too late, individually to become what God intended for you, you just need to repent and believe in the Gospel!
Please tell us the Gospel.

If man cannot resist the will of God then how did the fall occur? Did God will sin? And doesn’t man answer back to God all the time? Of course we can resist His will. That’s why we’re in this mess! Praise God for the Catholic Church-we have a real Pope instead of false prophets like yourself who butcher His word.

Please tell us the Gospel.
The Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ! That our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, loved us enough to die for us… each and every one of us. He has risen from the Dead and Ascended into Heaven.

That, in a nut-shell, is the Gospel!

The confusions and the Buddist were judged at a restaurant in 1985. The Muslims were judged at a university lab. The Protestants were judged at a dinner party (exceppt it was prophecized that the Anglican church would come into the Cahtolic). The Hindus were judged overa game of chess in 1994. The dead Catholics were judged about two years ago ina Catholic Cathedral. Individual living Catholics are being judged. It goes like this: if someone is guilty of adultry, then that person is judged and all the people who have the same unconfessed sin. After a few sins, it doesn’t tkae long to eoliminate almost everybody. That’s why the Judgement doesn’t take too long. But it is God who judges the soul at death. The general Judgement is only a confirmation of what god has already decided.

GO TO CONFESSION!

Just a small question, since Protestant say that each individual could read and interpret the Bible for themselves, then how do they know exactly what is wrong and right? If there’s no standard or authority, no one could claim what’s right or wrong. How do they do it? Often Protestants will say the Holy Spirit guides me, yet how would they be able to know? God phones them? Texts them? He appears before them? How?

No one seem to care enough to give an answer for this.

Pat De, God in numerous occations commanded His people to make statues, read Kings, Exodus, read about the Ark of Covenant. I should also inform you that the use of images in worship also had been used by early Christians from the 1st century. Ask me why should I believe in you rather than the Bible itself and the early Church Fathers.

Also, you often refer to the word “man made tradition”, base on what authority you’re calling something man made tradition? How about rapture? Altar call? Aren’t they all man-made traditions? Often when I encounter Protestants, I ask questions like these, give them historical evidences and Biblical evidences, most of the time they reacted with emotions rather than reason, especially the people who call themselves “evangelical Christians”
The fact that you need to ask reveals your spiritual condition. 1 John gives the tests and Paul said the following: “Test yourselves {to see} if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you–unless indeed you fail the test?”

You have it correct about the “altar call” for sure; nothing like asking someone do you know your a sinner? Yes Do you want to go to heaven? No I’d rather be in hell, of course I want to be in heaven! Then say this prayer with me inviting the Lord into your heart. Did you pray in earnest? Yes. Well then welcome to the “family of God”; you are saved. Okay pastor go write down that we have another convert, this makes 15 this month alone. They have reduced people’s souls down to a number and of course God doesn’t work that way, but I’m sure there is an exception somewhere, but the altar call is a damning error in my opinion.

I won’t address you further misunderstanding of God concerning the relics, images, statues and earthly dead “saints”; since in the OT it is quite clear and Jesus summed it all up in two commandments and if you cannot see a problem with the worship, then you can’t see the problem.

I have no authority for there is but one Authority in heaven, on earth and under the earth and that is God alone. But I can and do understand what God has taught me through the preaching and teaching of His word. I always suggest to people such as yourself to begin reading Romans 3 beginning in verse 9 so you can see how totally depraved people are before a Holy, Just and Good God and the second half how a true believer is saved by God’s grace alone, through faith alone, by Jesus Christ alone for His glory alone. Anything else is another gospel and is man-centered, not God centered. This is what separates true Christianity from all other religions in the world.

I would be less concerned about what other people are saying and comparing yourself to other people and start comparing yourself to Scripture and Romans 3 in particular or proverbs 6 is another good example about how rebellious and hostile toward God that man is by his very nature and unless God grants faith and repentance, then no one would ever chose God, no not even one.

If we consider the Jewish people, who have suffer more than them at the hands of the Catholics?

BTW The Book of Revelation is considered by soome Jews to be a Jewish book minus the first couple of chapters and the last that refer to Jesus. The rest refers to the Lamb of God or the suffering servant.
Why do you have Catholic marked as your religion; what are you really claiming to be a Jew who believes God just has taken a vacation?

Ha, Ha! Now That’s Funny!

I didn’t know you were a comedian! 😉
I guess you believe in evolution and not six literal days of creation; when something is that specific as in Revelation 7; you can bet that will be the exact number. For the Jews do not even know what tribe they belong to, but that will obviously be revealed to them in some supernatural way.

It is a rhetorical question with the answer being “no one can resist His will”. God allowed sin and man made the only choice He is able to make by His nature, which is sin, which is rebellion against God. Those who resist his will do not exist in the context of the passage.

God alone provides salvation according to the Bible. Man just likes to create their own image of God because they are unregenerate and rebellious sinners.

What make sense to me might not make sense to others, or else all would come to believe in only one belief system. Provide that the Bible was canonized by men, how do u know that u’re not using the wrong Bible? Given that the book of Romans was put in there by men, how do you know for sure that it is true? How do you test the book of Romans given that the whole Bible was canonized by the Church? Jesus Himself never told His disciples to write down His word, then it must follow that the 4 Gospel must be unbiblical. Did the author of Hebrews told the people to put the book in as part of the Scripture? Did Paul and Peter told their followers to do likewise? Then it must follow that the whole Bible itself is unbiblical.

How did God teach you? God must have a tool to tell you whether or not you’re guided by the Holy Spirit, reason can’t be one of them, for not everything that is reasonable to you will be reasonable to a Catholic or a Lutheran, it couldn’t be emotions or what you feels, since emotions could be from the Devil/ Then what is it? Only under one authority of the Catholic Church could you know whether or not your interpretation is sound. Otherwise there’s no way to know whether it is God that teaching you or the Devil. Neither could you determine what interpretation is right or wrong, and neither could you do what Paul told us to do, to test everything if there’s no authority.

What do people do when they read Romans 9? What if one drive at a different conclusion than you? How do you know if that person is right or wrong anyway? Tell me why should I believe in your interpretation rather than what he early Church Fathers, the ones that canonized the Bible believed? Tell me why, tell me how to test all these things without authority.

Jesus didn;t invest His authority to the Bible, you should remember who did He invest authority to, it was the Church, through St.Peter, that Jesus gave His power. And it was by that same Church that produced our Bible, the same book that you’re holding.

I care not a whit whether it took 6 days, or 6 billion years.

I care that God created all the universe, and that God cared and loved me enough that he created me… and of course all of you, too.

144,000 is symbolic, my brother. Every theologian knew that until recently.

You are close; the cup of God’s wrath that Jesus drank on the cross is more than sufficient to cover all sin, but the reality is that the Father has given the Son a very small portion to be joint heirs with Jesus; therefore in essence we have a limited atonement.(John 17) You see the Gospel, in effect, is more about God displaying His Holiness than it is about redeeming man. The Gospel was given to man for the purpose of bringing the elect to Himself. The elect are a “love-gift” from the Father to the Son and is referred to as His bride and once the redeemed are all called in, then the Son will present the Bride to the Father and the elect will worship and love Him and glorify Him throughout all eternity. Praise be to God!!

You know, I really don’t understand this theology. You’re saying that God made man bad? Man had no choice but to be wretched? And then God got mad at him for being wretched?

How many sins did it take to cast out 1/3 of all the angels? How many sins did it take for God to cast man out of the garden? What does the Scripture teach about how many sins need to committed against God to condemn a person. Just one.
