God Hates Black People?

Point being, that having people in authority and Saints who are “black” shows that a skin color/social construct claim is not valid.
 
In my experience, anyone who goes around with a shirt or a sign saying “God Hates (name of group of people)” is just looking for attention and a reaction. See also Westboro Baptist with their God Hates… signs.

God doesn’t hate any people. He loves all people even when he becomes angry at individuals (not whole groups of people) who commit sins. End of story.
 
In Blessed Anne Emmerichs Biblical revelations, it does say that God did this. I think this may have been the source of such ideas. It is definitely a very controversial thought.

Hypothetically, even if it were true, that wouldn’t mean God hated them. If someone is cursed, they most likely have more difficulties but that’s it.

If I had to guess, I’d say it’s the systematic and institutional hatred that built up in the West for people of color. And I’m assuming this was the US, where even moreso.

Also, yes this is rubbish. The Curse of Ham equals black people was created as religious justification for mistreatment of people of color, notably of African decent. And to try and make sense of the supposed “inferiority” (I say choking back bile) of African people and culture.

The curse was on the youngest son of Ham and his descendants, which was Canaan and the Canaanites, not dark skinned people in general.
Genesis 10:15-19

15 Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and of Heth; 16 also of the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, 17 the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, 18 the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Afterward, the clans of the Canaanites spread out, 19 so that the Canaanite borders extended from Sidon all the way to Gerar, near Gaza, and all the way to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, near Lasha.

I do not think so. I think it has to do with discrimination people of color feel they face in the US. Unfortunately, in a lot of cultures, darker skin is considered uglier, dirtier or the color of poor people.
 
As a Nigerian Catholic, precisely from the Igbo tribe we don’t think and was never taught that God hated blacks. I wonder were he gets that notion from?
 
That’s true, Africa is genetically diverse than other continent. For example, in my family of four children me and my brothers are more lighter in complexion than my elder sister who is more darker in complexion. For the record the profile picture is not mine.
 
She specifically said that God cursed Ham and that all Africans are descended from Ham and inherited said curse??
 
The Scripture account actually says that Noah cursed Cush and his descendants. The Cushites are traditionally identified as the Ethiopians. It’s interesting that in the Acts the Holy Spirit brought St Philip to the Ethiopian Eunuch to baptize him… and that the Ethiopian Orthodox Church emerged as the only ancient pre-colonization Christian Church in Sub-Sahara Africa. If the Cushites were cursed, it would seem the Spirit gave them the grace of baptism to deliver them.
 
No one knows the heart of another, except God. However our black associate pastor has always, always, always shown utmost reverence to God. He sure doesn’t act as though God hated him.

Consecration with him officiating at Mass is a joy to behold. I am in awe.

That is funny. Apparently a country which offers blacks a first world standard of living, affirmative action, and fought a war for their freedom hates them.
