Too true!! When you’re already famous and you’re not famous for being willing to say anything, you can’t just say anything.

Only people who become famous as being willing to blurt out anything can sometimes get away with just blurting out anything. They don’t violate expectations because the starting expectation already was that they’d probably say something inappropriate.

The same quip that would just make George Carlin more famous would have been a damage to George Burns’ career. (Exhibit A: Bill Maher, who is always saying something reprehensible…)

I was about 15 when this came out and remember this song.Annoying as and was played over and over.
At least Joan Osbournes intent was to give glory and focus to God,unfortunately unlike Ariana who’s intent is to glorify herself.

Singers like Ariana choose this theme/lyrics precisely because they know they are controversial and will give them attention,so the more the public is “non chalant” about it the better.
