Well, it’s a process. We are taking a trip to Southern California this week to celebrate our anniversary, her birthday, being alive, and a missed Summer. Just going to watch the sunsets.

I’m flying down in in a couple of days to see my granddaughter, and to give her mother time to do other things, as she doesn’t leave her daughter since she came home … you know how it is. My son had to go back to work to a ‘million’ emails and responsibilities after they brought their daughter home so is absent during the day

God bless your wife with as full recovery as possible.

Complete recovery isn’t always possible, i hope it can be for your wife
I wonder how my granddaughter, only in early adulthood, will fare, unable to bend over with her back extensively fused, with two metal rods the whole length. Pregnancy and motherhood may be very difficult? She’s stunningly beautiful but she doesn’t feel sorry for herself for this huge challenge in her life and disfigurement of a huge scar. Some her age might justifiably go into a complete tailspin. She is an inspiration, but always did have a lovely spirit.

May God bless your granddaughter with a excellent recovery and keep her spirit and outlook bright and strong. It sounds like she will focus on what she can do and can be rather than what she can’t. That can make a world of difference

Dear Lord, yesterday when she and her mother phoned, my granddaughter said brightly with conviction, “I am so lucky. A number of serious things could have gone wrong during the surgery, but it went well”. Her mother said the pain is severe, but my granddaughter didn’t mention it.
I thank You for my granddaughter’s thankfulness and positive attitudes.
Thank You for the kind persons whom I’ve never met who have prayed for her. Please flood graces and any needed healings in her life and theirs.

Isabella continues to be in my daily prayers. Praying you have a safe trip and enjoy your time with her. Praying her pain ceases and for her complete recovery. 🌹

I might be mistaken, but I believe St. Gemma is the patron saint for back pain and problems. Regardless, she is one of my favorite saints.

Glorious St. Gemma, your strong love for God enabled you to endure many physical and mental hardships while on earth. You were always ready to offer your suffering for the well-being and salvation of others.

I graciously come to you now, O Compassionate Saint Gemma, and ask you to hear my prayer for Isabella’ s healing. Intervene for her with the Divine Father so that, if it is His will, her ailment may be cured.

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us.
