Do you have personal experience with the sisters at Farmington Hills?
I have never been there, no. But frequently I go to their web site just to see them kneeling before Our Lord in the Eucharist. I gave you their link, did you visit it? I cannot believe that any monastery that practices perpetual adoration and silence and lives in enclosure is not loyal to the magisterium. It touches my heart just to see them and know that this powerhouse of prayer is working on the Church’s behalf.

THat is why I said, while I have no knowledge of the lay group you mentioned, if it is connected to these holy nuns, it must be loyal. Or am I just too optimistic?

Hello Friends, i notice alot of questions about the Orthodoxy of the Dominican Order. I think the thing to keep in mind is that Every Order has a full spectrum

That being said, where i live (Portland) There is a Priory called Holy Rosary Parish (holyrosarypdx.org/) and it is run by the Dominicans of the Western Province. IT is easily the most Orthodox Parish in the Archdiocese of Portland. Every Sunday they have a Mixed Latin/English N.O. Mass (Somewhat like EWTN, i would say its easily 3/4ths latin) with a beautiful schola called Cantores in Eclessia (cantoresinecclesia.org/)

A Dominican Rite Low Mass (Which Predates the Tridentine Right) is said every First Saturday and most Holidays are also offered as a Missa Cantata in the Dominican Rite.

They are led by the Very Orthodox Father Anthony Patalano.

The Efforts of the Friars of Holy Rosary have easily rekindled my love for the church and have made me very strongly consider a life of servitude with the OP (I still need my Bachelors though)

There is a blog dedicated to the Dominican Rite and in fact a confrence is occuring this week regarding the practice of the Dominican Rite.

The Blog is here:(dominican-liturgy.blogspot.com/)

I hope this helps anyone who was curious about the Dominicans.

Does anyone know of a third order or oblates down here in South Carolina or Georgia or North Carolina? If in Georgia or NC it has to be relativly close to SC.

 in South Carolina

Thanks for the info but those aren’t close enough.🙂
You might want to contact the Southern Province directly and ask them. There may be other people in the area that are also interested in starting a new group, and they could put you in contact with them.
