The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches in paragraph 435:My first thoughts when reading the lyrics was that this song is not about a savior but is instead using his name as a metaphor. But it wasn’t until you posted that I did the research.
This particular Green Day album is a rock opera and deals with the alienation of suburbian youth. Here is a site that gives basic info on both this song and the album.

No, I still don’t think that it is evil.
“The name of Jesus is at the heart of Christian prayer. All liturgical prayers conclude with the words “through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The *Hail Mary * reaches its high point in the words “blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.” The Eastern prjayer of the heart, the Jesus Prayer, says: “Lord, Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.” Many Christians, such as St. Joan of Arc, have died with the one word “Jesus” on their lips.”
Any use of the Holy Name of Jesus that is not in keeping with its being the “heart of Christian prayer” is no way to treat His Awesome, Wonderful Holy Name! Especially for the sake of simple entertainment!
