That’s a lovely thing to say, oldgraymare2. 🌹
I get very nervous to begin a painting though, worried it won’t come out right

The Happy Thing to happen today, is that the sky isn’t blue, the sun isn’t visible.
And I’m not wearing light clothes!
The sky is covered with clouds and rain has been falling!
With summer coming ahead of our current perfect Spring,
we are grateful for the rain!

The Jacaranda trees are flowering again around the suburbs

Happy thing today: Went to Tuesday night swing dance this evening, which was my first time dancing in nearly 2 weeks. (I was in the hospital most of last week.) Had a couple of dances where I was really feeling in my “zone”.

Also, this was an “open house” tonight held by Morgantown Swing, celebrating its 3rd anniversary. My friend Dan from work came with his fiance, and they said they plan to come back, if not this month, then for the November series.

What is that thing in the tree? Did someone paint graffiti over a poor robin or what is that? Beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing, Trishie.

Oh dear, yes, it looks a bit pathetic, doesn’t it! You probably don’t mean the tail, but that miserable solitary leaf!!! 🙂 I obviously didn’t pay suitable attention to the matter of foliage…if you are referring to the painting!

Not robins, but our native multicolor Rainbow Lorikeets that bring delight with their joyful chatter, and their glorious color, and abound in my State. At night, great flocks of them assemble in certain trees around the city, and have a great cheerful conference before they settle to sleep.

Or did you mean the photo?
The bird is a rainbow lorrikeet, supping nectar from the jacaranda tree outside my home.
and the brown things are seed pods left over from last year.

My eldest son had his first vacation in 25 years, enjoying it with his new wife.
He raised his children alone, and we would takes them on holiday with us,
but because of his call-out business which he set up to be permit flexible for his children’s needs,
he never went on vacation.
He and his wife fitted an amazing number of activities in one week in New Zealand…a beautiful place to visit.
Wonderful to see him so refreshed, and sharing videos and photos of their activities and of incredible scenes.

My favourite of the three hens has gone clucky on 12 eggs 🙂 She’s looking so self important with her funny topknot of feathers.

Today is Our Lady of the Rosary.

Today, oddball and red dog on to. Winx won her 21st straight race.

The dog and I cut and chewed her leg cast off (no, I didn’t do the chewing,) it was almost due to come off but I realised tonight she was in agony with itching and broken skin where it had started to rub. She’s much happier now,on
some pain relief and the itch gone.

She was hit by a car some weeks back, after escaping for the first time.Thank Goodness a clean break.Maremara /Lab
and full of beans.

For the whitetail that wandered past my classroom this morning about 9:30. Just bein’ a deer!

You have some fierce spiders there…

😮 😱 👀🕷️🕸️

Supposedly, we don’t have any poisonous ones close to us here, although they are supposedly here in Wisconsin.

I don’t care for spiders in general too much, but I tolerate them if they come inside because they’ll take care of any other insects that you might have in your home.

My husband actually helped me to get over my fear of them, because I actually used to be kind of phobic when it came to them. Now, not so much. 🙂

We usually get the garden-type spiders inside. Some are quite small, and sometimes they’re rather unique-looking because of their colors. They can be kind of pretty, actually.

If my kitty sees one crawling on the floor, she’ll start to paw at it and will chase it and play with it.

You might just appreciate our huntsmen then 🙂 My mum calls them a rain spider as they often come in during summer the day before it rains. They go around and clean up the daddy long legs spiders which are messy.Huntsmen are pretty harmless and you get used to them even if they are pretty big.Kind of like a pet you don’t have to feed 😉

So we had our first real meeting with newboss today. Went well, he said that my production looks good and that I don’t need to provide documentation of any health issues, just let him know what’s going on. He also made it known that he’s taking steps to rein in the workplace gossip, thankfully.

The living rosary at our school today. A beautiful presentation by the entirestudent body!
