Hate message spray-painted at Catholic church

ANAHEIM – Police were called Tuesday morning to investigate a report that “Kill THE CATHLICS!” was spray-painted on a wall near the entrance of St. Boniface Catholic Church.

About 7:15 a.m., police were sent to the church at 120 N. Janss St. regarding the incident on the west side of the church, police said.

*Parishioners attending mass this morning at Saint Boniface Catholic Church experienced a hateful message spray painted on the church’s west wall. The graffiti read, “Kill THE CATHLICS!”

Pray for those that hate that their Hearts may be turned to GOD.

A couple of years ago something similar happened at my parish, but not that large. When arriving for weekday Mass a large posterboard was taped over the offending symbols, and by the next day it had been cleaned off.

We need to pray for people who do things like that.

Let’s hope it was done by some kid thinking he was being clever. That’s usually what it is. Honestly, how juvenile and stupid can some people be?

Yeah, looks like the work of some kid with too much time on his hands and maybe not enough discipline in his house. Something similar would happen on a fairly regular basis where I used to live in Oregon, since it was infested with hippie anarchist types who thought they were bringing down “the man” with their sharpie markers and graffiti (writing “Last” over the word “First” in the “First Christian Church” building’s sign, for instance; I know, clever, right?)

God bless America, moments like these make me proud to call myself an American citizen :dts:

Apparently the hateful tagger doesn’t know all of the vowels in the alphabet.

That’s so sad…I hope and pray that whoever did that can be turned more towards God instead of towards hate.

Freedm of speech, but its hate speech…

Bless them all, and just try to humr them…

😉

I was worried I was the only person whose first thought was about the spelling. 😛
My first thought was concerning the spelling too! I suppose it’s pretty said to have been attacked for being Catholic enough to just not care about being people wanting us dead. Also a pet peeve of mine is when people people use slurs direct at me for Arabs and Muslims, if they are going to be racist, could they please use the correct terms? (I’m Indian…)

Teehee. That reminds me of a complaint my mother had about one of her students (she teaches high school). Someone took his eraser, and he said, “Don’t be a Jew.” My mom, of course, was irritated by the anti-Semitic comment itself, but my first thought was, “Wait, that’s not the right stereotype.”

As my grandmother would say the person who did this should be forced to clean it up. That might teach them something. 😃

Your grandmother was [or is] a wise woman! 👍

I’d say the same thing!
