“Subverted my desires for the will of GOD”
I ask because there are two integral parts of our relationship with God… there is the aspect of worship towards our God, and then there is the aspec tof the change enacted in us by following the will of God. If we merely seek to come to God on our own terms, then we do not have growth and change in our lives… we are not made new before God. Thus it is important to remember that we must always be mindful of the will of God and how our desires should be subservient to that.Hmm… Good question, gotta think on that one. its been a while I guess, why you ask?
Talking to God is not the unbiblical part… the implied concept that the church does not provide the support of Christian truth is the unbiblical concept. No where in the Bible does it say that the only important part of religion is the members relationship with their “personal Lord and Savior.” (in fact, I would go so far as to say that renaming God to a Personal Lord and Savior is almost heretical, depending on how far one takes the concept). The bible CLEARLY illustrates the need for the church as is God’s will.Talking to God is unbiblical? Did I miss something?..
Did I miss some underlying point here?
To that I would respond: then those weren’t really catholics, were they? A wolf dressed in sheeps clothing does not become a sheep…“every Catholic” isn’t believable. I have personally met Catholics who care less about God than the average atheist does.
