I wish there where more sincere, devoted, feminine women, who act like you around… I believe that if there was a revival of this truly Christian practise, the Church wouldn’t be in half the mess that she is in…Men want to act like women these days and women want to act like men, but God made us equal yet different for a purpose…Your comment is so spot on, if women can wear a headcoverings before the Pope, then they also need a bit of humility and Holy fear and learn to wear one before the Creator of the Universe…Lets things into perspective ladies!!!I was reading the posts on this thread and thought came to me.
I think that some women who were celebrating mass with the Pope would cover their heads in some form. I know I certainly would! Even women like Laura Bush, who I don’t think is Catholic, covers her head when meeting with the Pope.
I find it funny that women would cover their heads when meeting the Pope, but not feel comfortable to cover their heads when recieving Jesus in the Eucharist.
I think it’s a beautiful tradition that has been lost, and it’s sad that people have to be judgmental about it.
