Background:
I’m a catholic revert. I’m the pastoral council chairman at my parish. I’ve lead apologetics classes for my parish. I’ve been in a funk lately about Marian devotions and their place in catholic culture.
Probelms:
I’m feeling like devotions to Mary are very popular these days and I am concerned that it’s to much. Is there a to much? I’m not one to pray the rosary because my mind wanders quickly wile trying to meditate on the scripture. I feel like our Catholic Church these days is full of Marian devotions, and not enough God devotion in comparison. What should be Mary’s place in my mind, in my prayer life, and in our Sunday mass? What place should Marian devotion have in catholic culture?
Also, mediatrix of all graces?
Does this mean: female mediator of ALL graces? So no graces can be granted except through Mary? If so, c’mon…
I want to sort this out in my mind so any help would be appreciated.
