I agree again. Mankind gets a lesson in the consequences of sin. It may be a very indirect lesson, and the offender may appear to have “gotten away with it”, but mankind as a whole is shown why violations of these “natural laws” are not a good thing.

BUT, sometimes (often) the “bad guy” really has gotten away with their crime in terms of “this life”. Isn’t that good reason for other “bad guys” to simply “try harder” to be better at being bad guys, so that they can get away with bigger crimes that favor them?

Why shouldn’t we all be working harder on getting as good as possible at “selfish crime” so that we can be as comfortable as possible at the expense of our fellow man?
