I believe she was also a Goldwater girl. I have not admired her once since she and Bill arrived on the scene so long ago. too many negatives. I am waiting for her Sally Field moment - “you love me! you really love me!”.
A Goldwater girl who was writing fawning letters to Saul Alinsky…(real strident conservative right there)

Let’s not forget her getting fired from the Watergate Commission…

It’d be pretty silly to conduct an investigation and not talk to the person being investigated. That would be tantamount to not letting a defendant testify on his own behalf in court or even letting a plaintiff present his or her case to a judge.

What I find depressing in that is that no date has been set. Like everyone else, Hillary deserves for this to be concluded quickly. I suppose the FBI has to cobble something together to talk to her about and they are having a hard time doing so. If there was any evidence of guilt, she would have been “talked to” already.

Edit: In my opinion. Others have different opinion, and that’s fine.

Of all the candidates running for their respective parties presidential nominations, there are none whom I believe have accomplished more in the public and private sectors than Hillary Clinton. Certainly none of the other candidates can touch her on foreign relations. She is one of the most brilliant, tenacious, and cunning political players of this generation. If we were to head into a global war, there’s not a candidate from either party who I would rather have than her leading the fight. Honestly, I would even pick Hillary over Trump or Cruz in a back alley pub fight!

Unfortunately, not that it is a concern of hers, I often do not agree with her positions or visions for our country, her methodology, and lastly I feel that trust issues (some unjustly others do to her ego) will forever haunt her.
If so, then are the 2 choices (HRC/DJT) enough, or should we let the primaries play out (in which case it’s possible that Clinton/Trump might not even win)?

it would not be typical of the FBI to conduct an interview for no reason. Normally, they gather the most remote information first, then interview people in an ever-narrowing circle around the “target” person, and that person last.

It is possible, certainly, that someone else is the “target”; some aide or whatever that “scrubbed” secret classifications either before or after they were sent to Clinton. But then the question would remain whether that person was instructed to do it or did it on his/her own.

That does, of course, allow the “target person” a lot of time to prepare whatever defense he thinks will do him the most good.

But regardless, the FBI is relentlessly “person oriented”, not “event oriented”. They are always after some person or persons, and shut down investigations pretty quickly if they don’t think there is some malefactor in the mix.

why was she fired from the Watergate Commission?

I won’t get my hopes up of her being interviewed by the FBI, unless the FBI are more successful than those who interviewed her over Benghazi.

No Lily,
  • The fact that over 100 agents have been on this for months is evidence of a cornucopia of evidence, not a lack of evidence.
  • The FBI speaks to the likely target near the end of an investigation when they have their ‘ducks in a row’, not at the start.
  • Don’t confuse the investigation with an actual trial. If it goes to court, she’ll get her chance to explain her indiscretions.

I don’t think there’s a cornucopia of evidence; I think there are a lot of emails to sift through.

I know they speak to the person being investigated at the end of the investigation, but that doesn’t imply innocence or guilt. If they spoke to them at the beginning, they wouldn’t know what to ask.

She’ll get a chance to explain her actions to the FBI as well; they can’t make a recommendation for or against unless and until she does.

It’s really just “going through the motions.” 🤷

They don’t bother to interview a person whom they don’t think did anything. And why should they?

And they definitely can make a recommendation without interviewing the subject.

Seems like every week we have heard more and more about Hillary’s blatant abuse of protecting the security of the US. Every week, especially on Friday, these reports are released. Is it a deliberate drip, drip, drip to wear out the people who are seeking justice?
We must wait on the FBI to investigate - well yes, we have been waiting. So far the amount of law breaking has been over the top already, is the FBI usually this slow??
Then we have to give pause to the fact that the Atty General is an Obama appointee and the boss of the FBI. Does that seem to be clearly an unbiased stacking of the deck? When next to zero trust has been earned by Obama/Clinton, no wonder anxiety has set in to the people who want to trust our government. Eventually, something has to be announced.

Imagine this scenario, though:

FBI recommends indictment. AG says nope. Several FBI (maybe many) agents resign in protest. Is there any way that this doesn’t doom her campaign?

The Clintons were born under a lucky star. Bill escaped his impeachment proceedings unscathed, Hillary is the Democratic front runner, and the person seen likely to win the general no matter who her opponent is, despite the FBI. Bill’s gone from a salary of about $34,000/year when he was governor of Arkansas to getting a $20 million advance for a book. Hillary has gone from a salary of $16,000/year as a law intern to getting $225,000 for a speech. They are now millionaires hundreds of times over.

I can see the scenario helping her campaign, not hurting it. A lot of people will think, well, if the AG refuses to prosecute, Hillary did nothing wrong. I heard a woman say the other day, “I never knew innocent people went to prison.” I thought everyone knew innocent people were currently in prison!

But the FBI won’t recommend prosecution, so none of that matters. Except the innocent people in prison. I hope they find a way out!

the Benghazi hearings were a let down. I feel I am teased with the headlines as though something could happen. these past 8 years of Obama have been enough of a roller coaster and now Hillary. I just feel she will be protected. I am thankful to the FBI for the job they are doing though. I hope it is not all for nothing.

Hillary answered a lot of questions during the Benghazi hearings. I don’t know what more they could have done. They can’t make an innocent person into a guilty one, and yes, I have a list of reasons why Benghazi isn’t Hillary’s fault:

readersupportednews.org/opinion2/277-75/21554-five-reasons-benghazi-wasnt-hilary-clintons-fault

I have more of my own, but those are starters, and big ones, especially the fact that the Senate report doesn’t even mention Hillary’s name.

But, if you feel let down, you feel let down, and I’m sorry to read that, though I respect it.

They don’t hand out immunity deals for “security reviews”.

Multiple felonies have occurred. It will be interesting and surprising if the Obama Justice Dept actually does indict Clinton.

The newest leak from the investigation is that they are looking at time stamps for emails and tracking down how classified information jumped from the secure systems at State to Hillary’s unsecured server. The logins and email times don’t line up to when Secy Clinton would have been able to access the system, so they believe on top of everything we’ve heard so far, she gave out her password to some staff so they could take the classified info and send it to her. This is a BIG no-no.
Saddest thing about all of this is that with her statements Hillary is depending on the ignorance. Of the. Electorate to get away with this,
