I just saw your post, Lily. These singular threads on each candidate are moving quickly and I’m behind.
Clearly you’re just jealous that there’s over a thousand posts on great leaders like HRC and DJT, but less than a hundred on the Cruz thread. 😉

As a Catholic, I am aware that it is GOD’S Will we are to take into consideration FIRST…

Since we all DO get a vote, I make sure Jesus is in the voting booth with me. I wouldn’t even THINK of voting for a pro-abortion Democrat, because to do so would be to COMPROMISE what I KNOW God wants, to an attempt to serve two masters…

Which of course would be betraying our Lord. I don’t CARE what other people think abortion is. What about the people who thought what Nazi Germany did was okay?

People should KNOW what is involved, understanding that our Lord IS merciful, and use the wisdom and grace He’s blessed us with to do HIS Will, FIRST.

Well, he told ME that it was okay for ME to vote for Sanders. You’re discussing me, not the issues. The moderators have told us to stick to the issues and not discuss other posters so I’m not going to say any more.

Neither Sanders nor Hillary have ever said they wanted innocent children killed. They believe the right to abortion is constitutional; it’s not necessarily their own belief about abortion. No woman is forced to have an abortion in the US. Let’s put the blame for abortion where it belongs - with the women who make the choice to abort.
Their position attempts to serve two masters.

Actually Democrats and Hillary are fighting for the unborn. They recognize the unborn will have so many needs once born and outside of the womb. So they fight for child care, educational opportunity, for programs to aid their mothers and families, for healthcare…
Educational opportunities. Please! The Dems fight tooth and nail against vouchers, something that would be a real benefit for the underprivileged. The are prochoice in re to whether a child even gets to be born, however after that, nothing but platitudes.I am not impressed ::mad:

I am sorry, but I just don’t see why we have to have categories such as the first black president, the first woman president, the first hispanic president or what other category there might be. how sbout just voting for the best person qualified to do the job? why look at race, gender or religion as a quaifier? I didn’t feel like we needed a candidate just because he was black in 2008 and I don’t feel we need a candidate now just because she is a woman or someone else because they are hispanic or Indian or Jewish or Catholic or SDA. I just want good candidates to choose from. the republicans at least had a very diverse field in the beginning and now we are down to 2.
if people vote for Hillary just because she is female that will be just as disappointing as people who voted for Obama in 2008 just because he was black. look what we got for 8 years.
I TOTALLY agree…

I remember visiting a Democratic website years back, after having seen a bumper sticker for it on my boss’s car. I was SHOCKED at what they posted, and the comments that were made by its members. The names they called Clarence Thomas and Condoleezza Rice were DEPLORABLE! Although considering the names my boss would call people he didn’t approve of, I shouldn’t have been surprised…

It showed me how disrespectful they could be to those who don’t agree with them, even though they claim to be all-inclusive. The political cartoon alone of Rice was shameful, and proved to me that this party that touts itself as being so open-minded are apparently to the point where their collective brains have fallen out, and haven’t been heard from since.

H/T to G. K. Chesterton for his wonderful quote: “Don’t be so open-minded that your brains fall out.”

WE pay taxes that support informing the young that they can obtain birth control and abortions.

WHY should these businesses benefit from taxpayer dollars?
You pay taxes so young women can have ten children and collect big welfare checks. You pay taxes so men who choose to destroy their lives with drug addiction can stay home - and on drugs - or go to “treatment” and not work, etc., etc. I pay those taxes, too, and I’m not going to need an abortion, a check for minors, or help for drug addiction.

It’s fair because that’s the way our government is set up. It’s constitutional.

Why would he be jealous? LOL He’s a Sanders/Hillary supporter, same as I am.

PRAY TO STOP THE LEGALI$ED EXECUTION OF BABIES

WHY should these business be permitted to legally execute babies with their own money?

WHY should these business be permitted promote birth control and abortions to CHILDREN with their own money?

Let’s all pray to stop the legali$ed execution of babies – and not the red herring of “taxpayer funding on PP” that has never defined what it means to “pro-life.”

that is right! I forgot about that one! I would love to know the comments she and Barack make at night behind closed doors.
I think we’d all be surprised if people knew the comments all of us on this forum make behind closed doors. 😉

We’re all free to vote for anyone we choose, but there is a vast difference between the US and Nazi Germany. In the US, NO ONE is FORCED to have an abortion, something you seem to overlook. You’re free to stay here, of course, anytime you want, I’m not contesting that, but why don’t you spread your message among the people who make the decision to have abortions - the pregnant women? It just seems to me it would make the most sense to speak to them. After all, they aren’t forced to have an abortion, least of all by the government; they choose it, freely.

In the US a woman is not FORCED to kill her husband, something you seem to overlook. But it is illegal to do so.
So if we make abortion ILLEGAL, we will have to provide a penalty for women who make the choice to MURDER their unborn children.

Do you suggest death or life in prison without the possibility of parole?

Coercion to abort IS quite real. Maybe you should read the stories of women who aborted and regretted it, at the Silent No More website.

I’ve read them. Coercion exists in only a very, very, very small percentage of cases.

In 99.999% of the cases there is NO coercion.

So, what penalty would you propose for an illegal act of intentional murder?

A number of women have come out against Bill Clinton who is campaigning for Hillary. We were told yesterday, that maybe women would be coming out for Hillary but it looks like it works both ways.

It would be a grave sin for me, myself to vote for Sanders or Clinton.

Which is why I don’t believe Father Frank Pavone would encourage voting for pro abortion candidates to anyone, related or not.
I never said he encouraged. Please do not change what I said. I said he said it was okay. I also didn’t say who he, himself was going to vote for.

Whatever you have read that led you to conclude is only your opinion. It is NOT a fact to state that in 99.999% of abortions there in no coercion. The feeling of being under duress due to emotional abandonment, physical and emotional needs, fear, or financial status are all coercion factors. Horribly, some coercion occurs from selfish vanities and sinful desires. Satan uses coercion all the time.

Abortion (murder of an infant living in the womb of the mother) is and always will be:
murder. Ugly isn’t it? It seems more ugly when the baby suffers murder and is cut to pieces to be sold.

What should we do about this crime? (God will deal with the sinner) My answer is make it stop happening and do all in our power to destroy the facilities and prevent those from
carrying out this abominable crime.
