Yet so many still believe thevDems are for the little guy…pffffffttt!
It’s no more than a myth now, and hasn’t been more than that for a long time. In that respect, the Dem party is like a profligate scion of a wealthy family, living off its patrimony.

Back in the days when I was a Democrat activist, I really did believe the party cared about the poor and working people, and I believe for a part of that time it really did.

But when it became obvious that the only thing it really cared about was abortion, it became clear to me that one could not simultaneously support it and remain a faithful Catholic. So, we parted company; probably permanently as I do not believe it will return to its former nature in my lifetime. It’s too wedded to the mores of those who now support it.

“I know that all of you understand what’s at stake in this election,” Clinton said. “We need steady hands, not a president who says he is neutral on Monday, pro-Israel on Tuesday, and who knows what on Wednesday because everything’s negotiable. Well, my friends, Israel’s security is nonnegotiable.”

Hmm… if she’s serious, well said Hillary Clinton.

She will say anything to anyone to get their support. But, where does she stand on America’s security?

I think the Libya adventure and supporting the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt told us everything we need to know about that.

In other news, the pot called the kettle black.

I don’t think it’s fair to say Hillary exposed state secrets to the world. She sent them over a server that was not a government server. And, it was the government server that was hacked, not Hillary’s and Bill’s, so in a strange sort of way, Hillary unwittingly protected state secrets.

Other government employees were using unsecured servers as well. They just aren’t running for president.

Hillary has admitted that even though others were doing it, it wasn’t the best decision, and even though I like her, I’d have to say, that wasn’t the best decision. It might have been convenient, but it wasn’t the best thing to do. That happens a lot of the time, though when “everyone is doing it.” Or nearly everyone.
Yep, God bless her, but you are correct that to dodge the never-ending assault of bullets, HRC almost has to behave even more ethical than anyone else is expected to be. Where was venom towards Powell or Rice about their unsecured email communications?..where were the Congressional hearings when 200 Marines were killed in Beirut during Reagan’s Presidency when there was ample evidence that the area was unsafe?

Such nonsense makes me shake my head and :roll eyes:

I’m almost 50 years old, so I have known Hillary as a public servant for most of my adult life. I have investigated every allegation against her and Bill both. My efforts have brought me to the conclusion that if you repeat misinformation long enough and loudly enough, said misinformation will leave a residue, especially if it is presented to someone who wants it to be true. Such nonsense.

Hillary Clinton ( like every other human running for the highest office of our country) is in no way, shape or form a perfect person or a perfect candidate. That said, there is no one I trust more this year to lead our nation. And I can easily double down on that opinion when I take a gander at what the Republican Party offers to me in terms of a President.

I’m actually an Independent. At the time I said I wasn’t a Clinton supporter, I was a Sanders supporter. I’m still a Sanders supporter, but I’m realistic enough to know Clinton will get the nomination, and I will support her and vote for her.

I would not have an abortion myself, I believe a fetus is a human being at conception. However, I also support religious freedom, so I do not believe Roe v Wade should be overturned since some religions do not believe a six week old, an eight week old fetus is a human person since it is not viable outside the womb.

If we lived in a theocracy, I would believe abortion should be declared illegal, but we live in a country where there is separation of church and state. In addition, many Catholic women have abortions. I think legalized abortion is here to stay. I believe the place to stop it is at home and at church, by teaching children the sanctity of life. Abortion was legal when I was born, but I would never consider having one because I have been taught the sanctity of all life since I’ve been a toddler. People in my family don’t even kill a spider. They just put it back outside.

Okay, you seem to have an answer for everything, whatever side is up. The Democrats have done well to add your assistance to their cause. It will be a wonderful, blessed day when Roe v Wade is overturned even though that was not a possibility according to your previous answer. Keeping spiders outside is okay but has little to do with protecting unborn babies from being butchered and doing all that we can to end it.

I am happy to see that someone has noticed the Muslim brotherhood connection to the Clintons and the Dems.

Yeah, okay. Let’s see the Democrats take Israel’s side when some Palestinians and their sympathizers (including many Jewish voters in the USA and Europeans) call them racist islamophoboes who are intolerant.

A lot of people think that the Republicans are for the little guys, but I don;t see the following Republicans as little guys or as poor guys:
Trump, Charles Koch, David Koch, Mitt Romney, families such as Walton, Hearst, Dupont and Hunt. How many houses did John McCain say he had? Was it seven or eight or…? As I recall he had so many houses that he didn’t know how many he had.

There is a lot of wealth on both sides of the isle.

There are a lot of things I don’t have an answer for; I was just trying to clear up some confusion that obviously ensued when I decided it was inevitable that Hillary would win the Democratic nomination.

I agree with you, LS. 👍

Hillary doesn’t support late term abortions unless the mother’s life is in danger:

“CLINTON: My opponent is wrong. I have said many times that I can support a ban on late-term abortions, including partial-birth abortions, so long as the health and life of the mother is protected. I’ve met women who faced this heart-wrenching decision toward the end of a pregnancy. Of course it’s a horrible procedure. No one would argue with that. But if your life is at stake, if your health is at stake, if the potential for having any more children is at stake, this must be a woman’s choice.”

This is a specious argument for late term or partial birth abortions.Logic tells me that if the mothers’ life is in imminent danger, why is an abortion at this stage safer than say a c -section? With a c- section the baby can be out in minutes.
