An event happened that changed it for awhile. The party also took on homosexual “marriage” as an additional cause. But it won that one, so it’s now back to abortion as essentially the only thing the party stands for.

I really can’t say that anti-Catholicism is a “party” program. Certainly, it’s one of Obama’s, but it can’t be said that all Democrats share it, because probably some don’t. And, too, one might regard that as a subcategory of its support for abortion on demand. The two are closely related.

But you are right in a way. The party’s devotion to abortion on demand is sufficient reason for me not to vote for any Democrat who has appeared on my ballot for years and years. But I’ll add that nothing else it has accomplished or promoted for a very long time would suffice to make me think anything of value is lost in voting against them.
If Obama is anti-Catholic, why did so many Catholics vote for him? Twice.

So Catholics will have to change their religious beliefs to allow for contraception?
Did Clinton say any Catholic, or any person, should be forced to contracept? No, she didn’t. She believes in religious freedom.

I know what Frank says before it’s public. And he doesn’t control me like a puppet. We are both our own people despite our familial love and respect.
So, did Hillary Clinton say “reproductive health includes abortion”, or not?

If you want to know, try Google. Besides, “what difference does it make anyway”!
This soundbite is as meaningful to many Democrats as “Who am I to judge?” is to many Catholics.

Except “reproductive health” has nothing to do with abortion.
.
Not according to Hillary. Here’s what Hillary says: “You cannot have maternal health without reproductive health. And reproductive health includes contraception and family planning and access to legal, safe abortion”.

What does she mean when she says that too many women are denied access to “reproductive health care”. What do you think “reproductive health care” refers to?
It means many things, not the least of which is access to safe, effective contraception as well as care at all stages for a woman who is pregnant.

It’s not “code” for anything. Hillary doesn’t speak in “code.” She speaks in plain English.

Reproductive health means this:

unfpa.org/sexual-reproductive-health#

who.int/topics/reproductive_health/en/

"Within the framework of WHO’s definition of health as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity, reproductive health addresses the reproductive processes, functions and system at all stages of life. Reproductive health, therefore, implies that people are able to have a responsible, satisfying and safe sex life and that they have the capability to reproduce and the freedom to decide if, when and how often to do so.

Implicit in this are the right of men and women to be informed of and to have access to safe, effective, affordable and acceptable methods of fertility regulation of their choice, and the right of access to appropriate health care services that will enable women to go safely through pregnancy and childbirth and provide couples with the best chance of having a healthy infant."

I am a lifelong Democrat, and I would never think “reproductive health” has anything to do with abortion. Reproductive health has to do with reproduction as stated above.

Agreed, LS. 👍

The very term “reproductive health” seems to indicate health care during pregnancy. I think it includes many things.

Contrary to what you may have heard, Hillary says that reproductive health includes access to legal, safe abortion.

Yes, some pregnant woman need access to safe legal abortion so clearly that is a piece of it. Still, women’s reproductive health is a HUGE thing - it covers many, many situations and needs.

Dear Hillary,

I’m sorry your thread has turned into an abortion debate.

Sincerely,

LS
that is because Hillary is very much in favor of abortion rights and of changing our religious beliefs to accomodate her views.
