Faith. Prayer. Love of God. Compassion and care for our fellow brothers and sisters. And perhaps most of all, our Lord Jesus. If the main tenants and commandments are subject to relativism, then what is left?

What about the compassion and care for our fellow brothers and sisters in their mothers wombs?Faith. Prayer. Love of God. Compassion and care for our fellow brothers and sisters. And perhaps most of all, our Lord Jesus.
I would say that most holy people of God are feeding the hungry, giving the thirsty something to drink, caring for the stranger and inviting them in, clothing those who need clothes, healing the sick and visiting those in prison - all the things that are Biblically commanded by Christ for us to do.What about the compassion and care for our fellow brothers and sisters in their mothers wombs?
How about ‘Thou shalt not kill’? or can we break that commandment so long as we feed the hungry?I would say that most holy people of God are feeding the hungry, giving the thirsty something to drink, caring for the stranger and inviting them in, clothing those who need clothes, healing the sick and visiting those in prison - all the things that are Biblically commanded by Christ for us to do.
We have a huge charge in all these things, with the living people in front of us.
Yes we do-an obligation we cannot fulfill by voting for somebody who promises to do it for us. We also can’t do this to the 50 million+ killed - the womb which is supported by many many people who claim to be compassionate and caring.I would say that most holy people of God are feeding the hungry, giving the thirsty something to drink, caring for the stranger and inviting them in, clothing those who need clothes, healing the sick and visiting those in prison - all the things that are Biblically commanded by Christ for us to do.

This is the straw man argument used by the pro choice crowd. It is specious and tiresome. As already stated, real compassion and love of our neighbor begins by loving, cherishing and protecting the most vulnerable among us,life in the womb!I would say that most holy people of God are feeding the hungry, giving the thirsty something to drink, caring for the stranger and inviting them in, clothing those who need clothes, healing the sick and visiting those in prison - all the things that are Biblically commanded by Christ for us to do.

I believe that for Hillary and the ‘pro-choice crowd’, there is no doubt that the first priority is to feed the hungry person in front of you. A pregnant woman, if she is hungry, give her food. If she needs to make a decision about her pregnancy, give her resources to do that. This is the straw man argument used by the pro choice crowd. It is specious and tiresome. As already stated, real compassion and love of our neighbor begins by loving, cherishing and protecting the most vulnerable among us,life in the womb!![]()
Excuse me?is it Hillary and her ilk working tirelessly in the crisis pregnancy centers throughout this country? I wager a bet, bevause have worked in a crises pregnancy center, with the women and men who give freely of their time and treasure to come to the aid of women in crises are people of faith. Not HC types!I believe that for Hillary and the ‘pro-choice crowd’, there is no doubt that the first priority is to feed the hungry person in front of you. I know we disagree but I just want to clarify this point: the person in front of you who is in need takes top priority.
That has not been my experience. The people out on the street and in clinics (not just health clinics) tend to be progressive social action people. Glide Memorial Church is one example here in San Francisco. Do you know of it?Excuse me?is it Hillary and her ilk working tirelessly in the crisis pregnancy centers throughout this country? It depends on your perspective, where you live ,no doubt it is Hillary Counrty. My point is that if your man argument for being pro choice is that we who are prolife don’t care beyond the womb, you are just off the mark.No doubt there are many of no religious and all political persuasions thT tend to the needs of the underserved.Your statement clearly implied that we as Cathoilic/ Christians aren’t stepping up to the plate in that regard. I have witnessed personally, the many Catholics who generously donate time and treasure to helping the women in crises before, during and after a pregnancy. That has not been my experience. If you are looking for Catholic social activists, there are places all around town. We have people in the Castro, St Anthony’s, San Francisco Night Ministry, etc. I haven’t taken a vote, but my guess is not too many are supporters of Donald Trump.
No, that wasn’t the point I was making at all. My point was that people of strong moral character and people of great faith (not limiting it to Christian by any means) are out there caring for the poor and needy. Those who call themselves progressives or liberal or socially active put the priority on those who are alive and in need. The pro-life issue is yours; it is not so much an issue for the rest of us until you take away the legal right afforded women. You’ll probably hear that a lot at the convention this coming week.My point is that if your man argument for being pro choice is that we who are prolife don’t care beyond the womb, you are just off the mark.No doubt there are many of no religious and all political persuasions thT tend to the needs of the underserved.Your statement clearly implied that we as Cathoilic/ Christians aren’t stepping up to the plate in that regard. I have no intention of listening to even one second of the convention, heard it four years ago, seriously doubt the message has changed. Dorothy Day,who instituted the Catholic Worker program, was all about social justice and tending to the needs of the underserved. She was also ardently prolife anti abortion. You seem to think the two are mutually exclusive.Maybe they are for thevproaborts certainly not the case for the prolife movement. No, that wasn’t the point I was making at all. When you are in front of a pregnant woman, you are in front of the child as well.I know we disagree but I just want to clarify this point: the person in front of you who is in need takes top priority.
I didn’t know of it but thank you for sharing it with us. They certainly do indeed appear to be quite a blessing for the people of San Francisco. That has not been my experience. The people out on the street and in clinics (not just health clinics) tend to be progressive social action people. Glide Memorial Church is one example here in San Francisco. Do you know of it?

I listened to 1 hr and 15 minutes of Donald Trump even though I’d heard it all before.I have no intention of listening to even one second of the convention, heard it four years ago, seriously doubt the message has changed. That certainly is your prerogativeve, however I will take a passI listened to 1 hr and 15 minutes of Donald Trump even though I’d heard it all before.![]()
Somehow, I don’t think that involves taking credit for what other people do by pulling the lever for liberal, anti-Christian politicians every 2-4 years amidst excuses to support worldly secular desires.I would say that most holy people of God are feeding the hungry, giving the thirsty something to drink, caring for the stranger and inviting them in, clothing those who need clothes, healing the sick and visiting those in prison - all the things that are Biblically commanded by Christ for us to do.
