The Trump kids do a lot of big-game hunting. So they have been to Africa and killed elephants, crocodiles, bisons and leopards. Yea, really bizarre!
On the assumption that they did, is there some reason to believe they did so in a place where it was not permitted? There are places in Africa, for example, where elephants exceed the capacity of the land to sustain them, and hunting is allowed.

There is no shortage of crododiles in Africa. They’re not endangered.

And to my knowledge, there are no bison in Africa. There are a lot of them on hunting preserves in America, however.

I did not say they did anything illegal. It was probably not a bison but something similar in Africa (water buffalo ?) - there is a picture on the web.

It is common knowledge that Donald Jr. is a hunter. Here are some pictures of what he has killed. Not that there is anything wrong with it. And Hillary did not say there was anything wrong with it. She was just humorously deflecting the anger from the animal rights protesters at her rally.
so why were they at her rally to begin with? a plant so she could make her remark?

Doubtful. Animal rights protestors tend to protest anywhere there are people and anywhere they can get some coverage. I’ve seen their type at all sorts of events that make you scratch your head as to why they’re there beyond there being a crowd and/or cameras.

But I mean it’s not like Clinton is their friend either. She eats meat, wears animal products, etc… These people don’t like anyone who does anything of the sort. My cousin is one of those types. And let me tell you, taking her to dinner is a real pain in the backside.

““Marriage has historic, religious and moral content that goes back to the beginning of time, and I think a marriage is as a marriage has always been, between a man and a woman,” said Clinton in White Plains, New York on the 2000 campaign trail.”

That was then. This is now.

Radical Clinton Drops Her Old Fashioned Methodist Faith
Lets be perfectly clear that Hilary Clinton has not dropped her Methodist faith.

On abortion:

"It’s important to note that the Church’s statements on social issues, such as abortion, represent the effort of the General Conference to speak to human issues in the contemporary world from a sound biblical and theological foundation. They are intended to be instructive and persuasive, but they are not church law and are not binding on members. Members will hold differing views on abortion. There is no requirement for members to agree with the Church’s view.

On same sex marriage:

“United Methodists are not of one mind regarding homosexuality and gay marriage. We understand that faithful people can have differing views on this. Some members, based on their understanding of scripture, feel strongly that the church should uphold its current laws regarding same gender marriage. Others feel just as strongly that the church should be fully inclusive, based on their understanding of scripture, including marriage equality. These different viewpoints are mirrored across most of the Christian world to varying degrees.”

Radical Clinton Drops Her Old Fashioned Methodist Faith
To be fair, the United Methodist Church is in the midst of having that same discussion with several conferences in the west, north, and central jurisdictions nominating gay bishops and the Western jurisdiction in particular openly questioning and defying the UMC on gay issues including SSM.

So it’s not that Clinton is alone in defying her church. They’re in the midst of an open revolt against the church’s still official, if softening, stances on those issues.

From the same article:

“A dramatic occasion occurred in February 1994, with Mother Teresa’s unforgettable National Prayer Breakfast speech, where she poignantly condemned abortion. “I feel that the greatest destroyer of peace today is abortion,” said the nun, “because Jesus said, ‘If you receive a little child, you receive me.’ So every abortion is the denial of receiving Jesus, the neglect of receiving Jesus.”
Sitting nearby not applauding were the Clintons. When the speech was over, the persistent nun sought out Mrs. Clinton. “She wanted to talk to me,” Hillary said later. “Mother Teresa was unerringly direct. She disagreed with my views on a woman’s right to choose and told me so.”
With love and charity, Mother Teresa never stopped trying to befriend Mrs. Clinton and working to soften her shell on unborn life.”

“In a blessed moment, the assembly voted overwhelmingly (and surprisingly) to withdraw from the Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice. The conference also rejected a resolution titled “Responsible Parenthood,” which would have once again further advanced “abortion rights” in the name of John Wesley.”
. . .
But that wasn’t all that the United Methodist Church did. By a much narrower margin, but a majority nonetheless, the church did not repudiate its historic position on marriage, despite angry shouts by “LGBTQ” Methodist activists. The slim majority thereby affirmed the United Methodist Church’s official Book of Discipline, which states explicitly: “We affirm the sanctity of the marriage covenant that is expressed in love, mutual support, personal commitment, and shared fidelity between a man and a woman.”
