I have read the teachings, and I did not ask about other countries. I’m tired of people on this thread warning that hate speech laws that will prohibit religious expression are coming to the US, since there is no evidence this is true.

The first link you provided talks about a law in the UK which is not even clearly laid out in the article; the article merely mentions “fears” that various folks have about the implications of the law, none of which are in the article substantiated with any legal language. The second link speaks first about a university’s policy, which has absolutely nothing to do with any state or federal law.
"Having eyes, don’t you see? Having ears, don’t you hear? "

nothing is impossible, gay agendas have come a long ways…and they are not stopping.
Oh yes…it is on the way. Just look at the “gay” blogsphere in reference to Proposition 8. The want us to redefine our Christian-based legal, moral, and political framework due to thier UNNATURAL lusts.

I’m sorry, I can find no legal consequences in the United States to anyone reading Bible verses to a homosexual person.
Perhaps not now…but our assertion is that such consequences are coming…

Also, something just happened in California where a worker was labeled as being hateful because they apparently made a comment that they were against homosexuality and the gay person or persons were “offended” by this comment, and there was an action taken against this individual. This is happening more and more now in that state and beyond.

I don’t need any medical organization to tell me the facts. I was born with a homosexual orientation. Am I sick? Nope. Perfectly healthy. When will they report these facts instead of the other ones.
Exactly, some of those “facts” in that pamplet are utterly laughable. Since when did taking part in team sports have any effect on a person’s sexual orientation? Say you’ve got a boy who’s not able to take part in team sports due to a medical condition or treatment for one, is he destined to be gay or bi? I’ll admit maybe some of my own bisexuality stems from my flawed relationship with my father, but I don’t think it’s the root of it. My dad’s not always being around due to work may have triggered it, but I think it was latent all along.

That said, it’s been found that trying to “cure” people of their orientation tends to backfire. The British analogue to Courage over here in the States used to use therapy to try and “reprogram” people, but the treatment didn’t always work and in some cases, it made it worse. The best way to help a person with same-sex attraction is to help them find the grace and the will to Lead a Chaste Life, which is something we all need to do, gay or straight, and for straight people who have friends that have “come out” to them, to accept them with compassion and love as Christ would have them accept their fellow man.

I agree, the only way that this may come to light is if it can be seen as a legal disability, and it would be very marginal if impossible. But even then you see fat jokes on TV and movies all the time.

I don’t really care who hates me either. God loves me. That’s all that’s important. He created me the way I am-with a homosexual orientation. That means I could never be heterosexual and therapy would be a waste of time and energy. I am not sick. I am as God intended me to be.

Goofy, it seems that you have been participating here for a long time, are you Catholic, or any religion?

I am Catholic. I am also homosexual. I am also saved. I just don’t appreciate when people spew their facts wihtout hearing all of them. There was no way a homosexual orientation could have been prevented in me. None of those laundry list of causes could fit the bill with me. I simply am what I am-homosexual. Does that make me sick? Certainly not.

God created “heterosexuals”, He didn’t create anomalies or diseases or anything that is against the natural law, Satan is the ruler of this world when God hurled him out of heaven to earth. God didn’t create homosexuality. Jim, maybe you were one of the ones who had a hormonal imbalance in the womb and it was something biological. In the normal course, male brains get flooded with testosterone, but things can go wrong from the beginning. God bless.

If you mean sick like revolting, i don’t think in your case. i have defined who i call sikos on my website. but sick maybe like what ladybri77 has stated. why are you so convinced you are a homosexual by nature? sounds like some one has convinced you to believe that, perhaps maybe you’ve convinced yourself!

I am not sick at all. Thank you. I don’t care to visit your website. God loves us all but some can’t accept that. Remember the prayers of the mass. Look not on our sins but on the faith of your Church. It is possible to be in sin and still have faith. And since it is faith that saves us I rest my case. Noone has had to convince me I am homosexual. I would be lying if I even tried to be heterosexual.

And if it was biological then it was the way God created me. It is possible to be a sinner and still have faith. It is the faith that saves us.

By faith, maybe, but not for certain. however obeying God’s commandments and doing His will as He has shown us will save us. Most all of the saints struggled at the hour of their death, they were so worried that they didn’t fulfill their duties to God, like Padre Pio, he was calling his brothers to hear his confession every 15 minutes before he died. if saints weren’t sure of their salvation, who are we to say that we are? Struggling with sin does not give you salvation, rejecting it will give you grace, however to deny sin is the gravest sin, don’t be fooled by feelings. You really need listen to the Church’s teachings regarding your condition. God Bless…

Yes, I’ve sinned many times and was in a relationship I knew was wrong, but still had faith which is why I eventually got out of the relationship.

Like I said, things can go wrong in the womb biologically and otherwise, but God didn’t create anomalies or things that go wrong. He allows them to happen for His own reasons, but He doesn’t create these things. To make my point that He intended all beings to be heterosexual, you need look no farther than the physical evidence (male and female evidence). Things were skewed once Satan entered the world. I rest my case.

For one last time, nothing went “wrong” in the womb. God permitted me to develop as a homosexual male. He’s happy with it, I’m happy with it. I don’t care about anyone else. As it is I am going to ignore any other posts of “facts” and quit visiting these forums, because you don’t accept the truth, unless it gels with your way of thinking.

that’s very misleading. and God is not happy that you are a homosexual, it is insulting to God. God doesn’t make people homosexuals, that’s imperfect, and God is Perfect. We are on the other hand imperfect.

When did you come to the conclusion that you are gay? Do you ever engage in ‘self-talk’ about being gay?

Yes, God did permit you to develop as a homosexual male as He permits things to happen for whatever reason. All I know is God made us physically to be heterosexual, male and female he made them, with opposite sex organs. “For this reason, a man is to leave his mother and father, and cling to his wife and the two shall become one flesh”. Genesis 2:24

I will always believe the truth that He made them male and female that they might become one flesh.

I’m glad you know that God accepts you and loves you as you are as we are all imperfect, but He loves us anyway. 🙂
