That is true. I haven’t been up on Bainbridge Avenue in a few years, but back when I would crawl the pubs up there, well, yes, you’re right. Including a couple of my cousins. 😁

That’s really racist thing to say. A lot of Americans adopt children from South America, China, and Korea.

Who do you think should foot the bill for them. And the next 10,000 of them…and the next 10,000 after that?
As a citizen of the wealthiest country on the planet that has facilitated unknowable suffering in Central and South America: us.

As a Catholic: I give as much as I can.
$1 is too much!
Huh. 13 years of Catholic education have taught me otherwise.
That may be true for some, but why are they carrying flags of nations other than the US? Seems like a slap in the face to me.
I feel the same way every time I walk by an Irish bar that has an Irish flag hanging. What disrespect!
That’s because you don’t live in Texas and Arizona. You ought at least to have the same sympathy for them as you do for those in the caravan.
What is special about those states? Are Hondurans known to be a threat to the people of Arizona and Texas?

Spare me with the blame America for all the world’s ills nonsense. I got plenty enough of that with Obama’s “blame America tour.” And I too give plenty to the poor through the Church. But I’m also plenty sick of supporting illegals who flip the bird at our laws.

Illegal immigrants are criminals, no matter where they’re from. I support blocking their entry. No one who enters this country illegally and deliberately should ever be allowed to stay, much less be granted citizenship.
'Nuff said.

Why only undocumented people? If they’re such a threat because they’ve committed a crime surely we should exile citizen criminals as well.

There are no channels to make that happen.
Where have you been all these years in CAF that I couldn t find you,Pollitos?! 🙂
I ve been saying this until my throat ran dry. And you write much better than me.

So many Americans have misconceptions about immigration. They don’t realize what the process is actually like

Not everyone demonizes, look at those grooming gangs in the UK. That has happened time and again. If that means stricter immigration policy in the UK, then so be it. Those don’t seem to be immigrants or sons of immigrants that are contributing positively to the UK. Yes, crime is a problem. If one wants to call people racists over that, so be it.

Same thing with bringing customs such as halal meat and female genital mutilation, Western societies don’t need this.

As citizens, we have rights that non-citizens don’t have. Read the Constitution.

I was about to ask what is wrong with halal meat. Never knew it was a problem with anyone

Illegal immigrants are not the only murderers and rapists. They aren’t even the MAJORITY of murderers and rapists.

Spaniards are Europeans, if one has to use words like “gringos”, it pertains to them.

Halal meat kills the animals in an inhumane way, so no thank you to that.
