The illegal aliens are what 9 maybe 10% of the Texas population? That’s a lot of crime for such a small number of people versus the rest of the populace. I think this just proves President Trump was correct when he said, “they’re not sending their best”.

That was more than rude. Nobody is " sending " people to begin with. The umbrella of " criminals" for being somewhere illegally does not equate to being the worst either.
Sometimes the " best" are very legal white-gloved crooks full of money
No excuse for being that rude.
But I am not engaging that level of comment any more. Too low a bar for a conversation.

Who’s “they”? Persons here illegally aren’t being “sent” anywhere, from anyone. You’re a funny one, hahaha…

I suggest an exchange program of low life, gun toting, crime ridden American citizen felons amongst the population that would do us harm (the worst of the worst) for those that want to contribute something of value and are running from the same, and you snub it…hahaha…well, I’m speechless…(not really)

Once again, I have not been clear somehow. There are not jobs, nor places for immigrants to live inside the Vatican State. 100 acres of land, uncountable pilgrims and visitors. Have you ever visited the Vatican State? Sometimes it is difficult to grasp how small of a bit of land there is.

Good examples here. One could fit the Vatican State 35 times over into LAX airport.

Countries like ours, with vast, vast amounts of space, with many unfilled jobs, we are able to accommodate far more refugees. To those whom much is given, much is required. We are encouraged to share with those in need.

Excuse me, I did not say one thing about illegal immigrants having higher crime rates. That’s not to say, I haven’t seen those figures questioned and possibly debunked. I’ve seen pros and cons on both sides. But I don’t think it will make an aggrieved family, so -called “angel” families feel better if they lose a loved one to show those figures.

Or it might bring the Democrats back to the side of LIFE. Most Latin Americans are opposed to abortion and have the some of the tightest controls on abortions as well. Some of the strongest family bonds as well.
Then, why isn’t this the case in California?
Because the immigrants do not have that much political influence to counter the home-grown pro-choice faction.

Every time someone wants to talk about the immigrant and “if” they should kill, or whatever other crime you can come up with, I like to throw up the stats. If you don’t like the stats they come from a conservative think tank, address it with them. Even a broken clock can be right twice a day.

California is a minority-majority state. Someone is voting those politicians into office.

States with highest abortion rates for 2008:

  1. Delaware, 40 abortions per 1000 women.
  2. New York state, 37.6 abortions per 1,000 women
  3. New Jersey, 31.3 abortions per 1,000 women
  4. Washington DC, 29.9 abortions per 1,000 women
  5. Maryland, 29 abortions per 1,000 women
  6. California, 27.6 abortions per 1,000 women
  7. Florida, 27.2 abortions per 1,000 women
  8. Nevada, 25.9 abortions per 1,000 women
  9. Connecticut, 24.6 abortions per 1,000 women
  10. Rhode Island, 22.9 abortions per 1,000 women
So, 7 of the top abortion states and DC for 2008, are solidly Democratic. We don’t need this to happen to the rest of the nation.

New Mexico has lenient laws, so, it is what they call an abortion tourist site, people go there for late term abortions, so even if they are not up there, God Bless New Mexico, there laws are very lenient which is wrong.

Guttmacher institute (research arm of Planned Parenthood) by the way, has changed the way they report on states abortion rates, for whatever reason. The stats are not as easy to find.

One could also make the case, that yes, you might have 23, 11 or whatever million undocumented persons in the US from all sorts of countries. Still, if some violent criminals come in from some nation, this does not help the nation. Let’s say, you have 11 million undocumented persons and 100 of them are mass murderers, that is a low percentage but it’s not very helpful.

Again, I did not mention the rate of crime by illegal aliens.

Per mentioned, this is why, I don’t think figures are that helpful in this debate:

Immigrants are 22 percent of federal prison population

By Stephen Dinan - The Washington Times - Tuesday, August 1, 2017
A stunning 22 percent of inmates in the federal prison population are immigrants who have either already been deemed to be in the country illegally or who the government is looking to put in deportation proceedings, the administration said Tuesday.

President Trump requested the numbers as part of his initial immigration executive orders.

The 22 percent is much higher than the population of foreign-born in the U.S. as a whole, which is about 13.5 percent.

I can easily see most immigrants, legal, illegal being peaceful. Those as a group, it doesn’t mean immigrants don’t commit a significant percentage of US crimes.

That can also mean that they can’t afford lawyers or bond to get them. Most white people picked up for driving without a license are released the same day pending trial. If someone can’t afford to post bond or has no lawyer, they can easily be held much longer. Which is the case for undocumented workers picked up for driving without a license. It also can be that many of those are being held because immigration authorities have asked they not be released, pending deportation orders. A higher prison population only shows they are the least represented by good lawyers seeking to represent them in the same way that their white counterparts are represented.

I may have stated a conservative estimate that more than 60% of the Central American caravan was made up of young single men. The update is that it appears that more than 90% consists of males.
This is contrary to the Leftist media that makes it appear like half the caravan consists of women, children, and babies.

I was actually just getting on here to update what I have heard as well. I have a very close friend in Cuernavaca Morelos Mexico. He is married to a Central American and has been an advocate in the past for these migrants. This caravan he says is different. He told me that they refuse to eat the food that people are providing, and demand other foods be given to them. They have left trash and human waste, vandalism, and crimes. They flaunt the fact that free transportation is being provided for them but no one can find out who is paying. It kind of surprised me the things he was saying because normally he is a huge advocate for both migrants and fair treatment for Central American immigrants to Mexico and would NEVER speak that way. After I hung up with my friend, I talked to my Sister In Law who lives in the state of Veracruz. She said the same things. This group is very picky and bossy. They are making a huge mess. They’ve been committing crimes. My SIL is not political at all and normally has no opinion on these things.
