I still don’t see what it is about DJT that the CAF Trump faithful defend him so and why they would rather have DJT than Pence. What is so special about DJT on issues they so deeply care about, abortion, SSM… that they wouldn’t get with Pence?
Well, we have this thing … the Electoral College.

And … apparently … Trump won the election.

In fact, Trump beat out 17 other candidates … all of whom were experienced politicians … except for Dr. Carson. [And Trump persuaded Carson to be one of his cabinet members … and then Carson did some internal audit reading … and discovered hundreds of billions of dollars of … scandalous expenditures.]

So, what is YOUR problem with Trump?

Personally, I like Mike Pence better than Trump.

But, I don’t want the President (no matter what party) impeached without proof of a high crime or misdemeanor. Articles of Impeachment should not be filed unless an investigator (DOJ or independent one) reports that there were crimes.

To date, this has not happened.

We can’t have congress impeaching Presidents they don’t like.
The Democrats LOST the election … in fact, the Democrats lost A LOT OF ELECTIONS… and they see impeachment as one last attempt to reverse the election.

I agree that it is important to read primary sources. For example, it is important to read Donald Trump, Jr.'s emails and not depend on the interpretation of them from those that spin.

But I do not have much use for cable news. The news/spin ratio is far too low and most of the hosts are mental lightweights that look pretty on camera. That’s why I think it is actually important to avoid these sources so that you can follow your own gut on what is happening and what really hits as opposed to being told over and over on a cable news program what is important.
I assume you have read Hillary Clinton’s emails … especially those she sent to Huma and her strange husband.

Rep. Brad Sherman (D-Calif.) formally introduced an article of impeachment against President Trump on Wednesday that accuses the president of obstructing justice during the federal investigation of Russia’s 2016 election interference.

This is the first time a lawmaker has offered an impeachment article against Trump, and it comes as Democrats have debated whether it is politically wise to press the case for impeachment at this time.
There is some other guy from California who is working to break up California into six states … continuing the process that got interrupted previously.

ballotpedia.org/%22Six_Californias%22_Initiative_(2016

A “Six Californias” Initiative (#13-0063) did not qualify for the November 8, 2016 ballot in California as a combined initiated constitutional amendment and state statute.

This proposition was sponsored by financier Timothy C. Draper. It would have called on the United States Congress to officially divide California into six separate states.[1]

Although Congress would have ultimately decided whether to divide the state into six states, what the new boundaries would be and what the new states would be called, the Draper initiative proposed these names and divisions:

Central California, which would include the counties of Alpina, Calaveras, Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tulare and Tuolumne.

Jefferson, which would include the counties of Butte, Colusa, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Laasen, Mendocino, Modoc, Plumas, Siskiyou, Shasta, Tehama and Trinity.

North California, which would include the counties of Amador, El Dorado, Marin, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Solano, Sonoma, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba.

Silicon Valley, which would include the counties of San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco, San Benito, Santa Cruz and Monterey.

South California, which would include the counties of Imperial, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and San Diego.

West California, which would include the counties of Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles and Ventura.

Draper and other supporters originally aimed to get the measure on the November 4, 2014, ballot, but later decided to aim for 2016 in order to gather more signatures.[2]

On July 15, 2014, signatures were submitted in an attempt to get the initiative placed on the 2016 ballot.[3] Proponents turned in an estimated total of 1.3 million signatures.[4] However, the California secretary of state’s office said it did not receive enough valid signatures by the deadline.[5]

Trump Impeachment Odds Spike After Donald Trump Jr.s Russia Emails
Source: Fortune

Donald Trump Jr. left many speechless when he shared his full email exchange with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya that led to a meeting during his father’s presidential campaign in 2016.

While some are accusing Trump Jr. of collusion, others are getting out their wallets: PaddyPower, an Ireland-based betting site, has seen more users placing bets on President Trump being impeached before the end of his first term, bringing the site’s total odds of the President being shuffled out of the White House by 2021 up to 60%—the highest it’s ever been, according to company spokesperson Lee Price.

" had gone quiet over the last month, and we were starting to wonder if he might have ridden out the initial controversies – but he’s back with a bang today,” Price wrote in an email to Fortune Wednesday.

Not only are PaddyPower bettors increasingly putting their money on Trump being impeached before his first term is over, but they are also betting on him being impeached as soon as this year, bringing those odds up to 33.3%. That’s despite the fact that impeachment proceedings are usually lengthy.

This is the most rational post so far. 👍

I think the Democrats are fools to try to get Pres Trump removed. He’s far less ideological., far less capable, and far less liked than VP Pence. If the Democrats are unhappy under Trump, I think they’d be positively apoplectic under Pence.

I think this is just noise to create 2018 campaign material. There’s no way the Democrats would rather have Pence.

Perhaps that is how people behave when they cannot get over their loss. They would do inexplicable thing, sometimes pretty stupid thing.

I’ve posted about this before but from what I’ve read, for an impeachment, the House Judiciary Committee has to first decide to proceed with the impeachment process: usgovinfo.about.com/od/thepresidentandcabinet/a/impeachment.htm

This Commitee has many more Republicans than Democrats and the chairman is Bob Goodlatte. What chance does does this Democrat think of the chance of this Committee going ahead with an impeachment process? It is doubtful many Republicans, if any, on this committee, believe that President Trump commited obstruction of justice and would be willing to move forward with impeachment proceedings.

Alan Dershowitz was interviewed on Tucker Carlson’s show and by the way Dershowitz admitted that he voted for Hillary Clinton on the show so he’s not a right-wing partisan, anyway I transcribed some of what Dershowitz said:

“Even if the president did say to Comey let it go when it comes to Flynn, under the unitary theory of the executive, the president has the right to direct the Justice Department and the right to direct the FBI what to do. Thomas Jefferson told his attorney general to prosecute Aaron Burr, he told him how to do it, he called witnesses and he the president gave them immunity. He called the Chief Justice who was his cousin John Marshall and threatened to have him impeached if he didn’t convict Aaron Burr. Aaron Burr got acquitted in the end, but not through any efforts, not though any failure of efforts by Thomas Jefferson, so historically the president is ahead of the executive branch and he can’t be convicted of obstruction of justice for simply performing his constitutional duty. Look, if he tore up a subpoena, or erased tapes, or put out a perjured testimony that’s very different, but just by excercising his constitutional rights there’s no obstruction of justice and I don’t see any crime here at all.”

Impeachment or the use of the 25th amendment. They didn’t get their way. They lost so they have to take the victory away from Trump somehow.

I believe the left feels like they may have lost this particular battle, but will win the war.

The guy who filed the impeachment papers was on Tucker Carlson last night. He said Trump told Comey to drop the Flynn investigation if he wanted to keep his job.
I don’t remember it being reported that there was ever a threat.
I just see evil in the face of so many of these democrats. They are literally losing their minds.

I believe the left feels like they may have lost this particular battle, but will win the war.
Insofar as the left continues to support intrinsic evils like abortion, euthanasia, and gay marriage, I don’t see that as ultimately possible. Seriously, until those key items are rejected as central issues, I don’t think the left will never establish a permanent majority.
