Methinks you protest too much. You implied in your post that conservative Catholics, in complaining about the church doing too much to help the poor, are indifferent to the plight of the poor - i.e., the old canard of “liberals care about the poor, conservatives don’t, blah blah blah”. So I posed the question, if conservatives are indifferent to the plight of the poor, then why do they give to charities? I have no idea how you took that as a challenge to your charitable giving personally, compared to mine?! I would never presume to know what you give, nor would I ask.

If you listen to union bosses like Andy Stern and Richard Trumpka, they could care less about the “little guy”. They want power, and they want it now.

No kidding. I know that the unions and the Democrat party aren’t for the “little guy”. But they have historically been portrayed as such.
