**Jesus cannot be muzzled and if you speak the words of God as faithfully as possible, which I do, but you cannot hear the truth because it is foolishness to you. **
You do not even know what sola fide and sola scriptura says and what it does not say because you are bent on a false understanding of it as presented by false teaching and out of ignorance of the contextual meaning of Sripture. If you were more like those faithful Bereans and compared what you are taught in light of God’s word; you would get on your knees and cry out to God for forgiveness, for understanding and faith.
I believe you truly believe everything you say. You have bible verses down pat. You try to rationalize human understanding of the Bible to people who know that it is not human understanding the Bible requires, but spiritual. You describe your own faith as spiritual yet I haven’s seen a spiritual thing in anything you’ve written.
The Bible is full of spiritual truths: facts, stories, events, etc. All of it can be interpreted by anyone who can read. Unfortunately, there’s only one way to read it validly - with the Holy Spirit’s influence. You claim to have the correct understanding of the Bible. Impossible. No one has proper spiritual knowledge of everything in the Bible. Even us “Catholics” know that even the Pope does not. No one individual can interpret the Bible flawlessley. Except Jesus if He came down to tell us. His Church, however, which is His Body, can. Through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus did not promise his Spirit to everyone, but He did promise it to the Church. At the last supper in Luke, he promised it to the apostles.
Just the apostles. Not his disciples, not a big crowd, not all of Jerusalem, Rome, or the world. Just the apostles. The infant Church. Yes, the Holy Spirit came down on disciples as well as apostles at Pentecost. These disciples were the first members of the Church. Outside the Church, it’s hit or miss. You may have the Holy Spirit in one passage, and may not in another. What’s worse is you won’t know which passages have the Holy Spirit’s interpretation and which don’t. So you assume you have it all.
Now you can go on and on and on about how we’re wrong. A devout Catholic who loves Jesus can see your error. A moderate Catholic who is a little weak in faith
may see your point. A weak Catholic probably would fall for it. But good Catholics who are in the spirit with God cannot be turned. They have tasted Him and know Him and will not leave Him. If you believe Him to be someone else in our faith, then
you have been decieved and need to fall on your face before the Lord asking for His Mercy and Forgiveness. If on the other hand, you are willing to admit that maybe,
just maybe, you might be wrong even though you don’t think you are, then you might let the Lord in your Heart and you would see things you never saw before. You would appreciate everything that has happened to you be it good or bad, and anticipate everything that is going to happen, be it good or bad.
Someday when you are home alone, pray to Him that if you have been wrong to show it to you. Don’t think I’m just saying this and that I should do it too. I do. I’m a weak human and need to ask it of Him as often as I can.
I’d say until then, your heart will be hard and you won’t recognize Jesus in the proper way.
Sorry, but if Jesus find my words wrong, then I pray He show me the proper direction, and I humbly ask Forgiveness.
If you want to pray that “I see the light”, I welcome that as well.
