I have tried my utmost to be charitable and patient with you, but you seem to be a deeply disturbed individual who uses their religion as a crutch.

I agree 100%. I especially admire the Old Order Amish, and the way they practice forgiveness as part of their everyday life is truly remarkable. Like most of the world, I was absolutely stunned at the way they forgave the man who killed their children at the Nickel Mines Schoolhouse in Lancaster Co., PA in 2006.

There’s nothing in my understanding of Judaism that would lead me to believe I was required to forgive the murderer of my children (God forbid), or that to do so would even be a good thing. I don’t fault them for their reaction. How they deal with tragedy is their business.

Well, since no one has ever proven to my satisfaction that he WAS the messiah, there is no sin at all for me.

Catholics do not condemn anyone to hell, but believe in a God that will condemn someone to hell for not believing in him.

As a former Catholic who is now a Buddhist, I am condemned by rejecting Christ as my savior. This question has been discussed on several threads and the outcome is always the same. No matter how moral or compassionate I am in my life, because I reject Jesus Christ as my savior and as God, I am condemned.

Some try to get around this belief by saying I could have a death bed conversion, but I am not planning to have one. I will live and die a Buddhist.
