I don’t have a problem with these verses. I have a problem with the interpretation. When Jesus speaks to us this way he is speaking under the Anointing of Christ, yes God himself. He is not referring to himself.
An example would be in the scripture ’ if I am lifted up, above the earth, I will draw all men unto me’. Jesus here speaks to us under the anointing of Christ (God himself), and teaches us to look to God in order to solve our problems.
I’m glad you are convinced that Jesus is god; because he believed it as well, and so do I. Respectfully, what I believe a part of our Christian community is missing about the message our saviour brought, is that Jesus was trying to prepare our minds about our true nature; that we are God’s children (not big G’s, but little g’s) and have access to all of Gods power. The same way that he does.
Book of John 10:34
Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are gods’?
