How do Muslims (who read the NT) answer Luke 24: 19 -27?

To believe in Jesus as a prophet is easy way to get into Heavens and Muslims are on that way. Jesus conveyed and approved that clearly He was a prophet in Bible. But claiming Jesus to be God is very hard way which is not certain if get into Heavens. And it is not certain in Bible but perhaps through very strained interpretations and mysteries which are vey hard to follow.

In Bible Jesus advise to believe that He was sent by Father and Muslims believe in that. But Jesus never advise to believe in that He was God.

Jesus was the way to salvation and He worked for that by His humanity but not as a God! Except miracles there were no signs of divinity unto Jesus.

As I repeat very much claiming Jesus to be God does not gain advantages. He was sent with whole authority of God as He informed very certain so believe in that He was sent in the name of God is enough. There is no need for Jesus to be God Himself!

God cannot be sacrifice and such a god cannot be creator of universe and human. God is eternal and God does not kill some part of Himself indeed there is no split in God.

So you claim that your way is easy!!! A bit fairness please!
If it is true that Jesus is God then there would be no need for Muhammad right ?

Jesus was not God so God sent Muhammad. Muhammad left unchanged scripture so there is no need for another prophet. In the last times of world Jesus will come and clear and remove such doctrines in His religion.

Interestingly this is exactly what the Baha’is believe Baha’u’llah has done.

We are told Muhammad was the “Seal of the Prophets” who’s message corrected the errors that were creeping into Christianity and that gave the final Message of the Adamic Cycle.

Now is the age of Fulfillment of all past Prophesy.

Big subject, thus will leave it there.

The New Testament Hasantas. Not the Qur’an. That is the topic. You’ve still not acknowledged post #171.

It is very long and what I should answer? Indeed I answered. Jesus did not say that He was rised from dead but He said that He was alive. He showed His hands to demonstrate that He was alive. He told there are prophecies about Him in previous scriptures but there is no any prophecy which stated that Jesus will rise on third day, is there? There should be some informations about Jesus in scriptures and there should be that He will be rejected and suffer. Jesus suffered very much from rejections. Nobody can harm God but if people reject God then God punish them. So Jesus was rejected that He was sent by God and that did harm Him much.

Again Hasantas. Follow what was posted:

“About Jesus of Nazareth,” they replied. “He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. 20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him; 21 but we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. And what is more, it is the third day since all this took place. 22 In addition, some of our women amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning 23 but didn’t find his body. They came and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus.”

25 He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.

Look at verse 20 "sentenced to death and crucified " then verse 25 Jesus says " how foolish you are and slow to believe did not the Messiah have to suffer these things And then enter glory "

You really need to focus on this.

God bless

Someone sentenced to death and crucified and he looked like Jesus but he was not Jesus. People thought he was Jesus. You ignore that Jesus did not say I was crucified and rised from death. Jesus said He had to suffer these things. But what are these things?

Rejection and evil acts against Jesus! People sentenced Him to die and abused. But God saved Him at the last moment.

There is no direct statements but just strained interpretations! Does Isaiah 53 prophecy Jesus to be crucified? Or does “three days I will raise it up” point Jesus rised after three days?

It is possible and very easy that God rise anyone from dead. God will rise all people from dead and there is no doubt about that.

As I stated before Gospels were written very late after Jesus. The texts of Gospels are not directly revelation. The revelation is the word which directly revealed to prophets. Writers of Gospels narrated life of Jesus and ofcourse there are revelation into those narrated passages. The revelation part is that in which Jesus talk. Observations and comments of writers cannot be recognised revelation directly. We Muslims believe in revelation as unconditional. If someone had crucified who looked like Jesus then writers would write that Jesus was crucified. There is no any direct statement in Bible in which Jesus said that He was crucified and rised from dead. Qur’an says Jesus was not crucified. I believe in all prophets and both Jesus and Muhammad and both Bible and Qur’an. I can find my way in Bible but can you in Qur’an?

I’ve given you ample statements by Jesus and sequence of events even during Jesus arrest no replacement took place. Then when he breathed his last died on the cross. Also the answer what suffering when the two disciples spoke about what happened. Jesus told them how foolish they were not to realize the fortold Scripture came true.

Please make better effort than just ranting.

If the man who got crucified were Jesus then why did he say “46 And about the ninth hour Jesus(?) cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? Matthew 27”

If Jesus were God himself why saying such thing!? Or if the man who got crucified were a prophet then why saying such thing? Does not prophet know that God is allways with him and never forsake? Is the revolt truthful against God for a prophet or for God himself?

I have very doubts about a god who was crucified! But I have no any doubt about Jesus and God.
In that case, you don’t understand the Gospels or the New Testament. Perhaps if you did you would understand Luke 24:24-27

24 Some of our friends went to the tomb and found everything exactly as the women had reported, but of him they saw nothing.’

25 Then he said to them, 'You foolish men! So slow to believe all that the prophets have said!

26 Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer before entering into his glory?’

27 Then, starting with Moses and going through all the prophets, he explained to them the passages throughout the scriptures that were about himself.

Then hasantas see if Luke 24:38 applies to you " But he said, 'Why are you so agitated, and why are these doubts stirring in your hearts?"

Jesus did not confirm them that He was crucified instead Jesus told them another things which was written in scriptures. Jesus did not say any thing about crucifixion but they were so agitated and had doubts stirring in their hearts. Now scripture(Qur’an) says Jesus was not crucified and some’s hearts have doubts which are stirring!

So what about the disciples who saw Jesus and his wounds three days after the crucifixion?
