How do non-denominational Christians pick a church?

Christ ascended into heaven in the flesh so He is in heaven completely…With the Eucharist one recieves all of Christ dwelling within themsleves…Why settle for less then the full truth?

I would never ever ever claim that I am a better Christian than you.

However, Christ gave us His Church to provide us with His Grace in order to be fully united to Him. There is no closer way to unite with Him than being ONE FLESH. He and I are ONE when we are joined in the Eucharist. We have the Mass, the Eucharist, the communion of saints, the 7 sacraments, the Scriptures, the Magisterium, Mary our Mother, the sublime and profound writings of the Doctors of the Church as well as the simple but eloquent lives of peasants and farmgirls who martyred their lives for Christ as our example.

How magnificent is the Body of Christ!! I invite you, 1beleevr, to come join us at this Banquet!

But this will pale in comparison to the coming WEdding Feast, when our Bridegroom returns to claim US, His Bride! No, not at all. When you accept Jesus Christ into your heart, all of the Saints and Angels come with Him.

Why are you looking for the minimum possible requirement? Your prayers to him are “sufficient” of course, but He Himself has also commanded us to love one another as He has loved us - and surely the Saints are among those whom we are required to love?

Why do we need the saints and angels in our hearts? Can’t Christ summon them in a heartbeat? He is the only one that sits on the throne of my heart(although in my weak times, I try to push Him off) Why wouldn’t your prayers to Him be enough? Why is it so hard to love others, as ourselves? Could it be that some of us don’t love ourselves; so therefore we don’t feel like we can love others? It is hard, but I am making great strides in that area!

The biggest stumbling block to unity among Christians, is the same thing that prevents us from being humble: P-R-I-D-E! Notice what the middle letter is in this word! Personally, just because I am a non-denominational Christian, does not mean that I want everyone to be non denom. But when someone defends their religion, rather than the Cross, there seems to be a disconnect! People from different religions have come knocking on my door; and I finally asked them,“Are you more interested in me joining your church/religion, or sharing the Gospel with me?” They generally leave shortly thereafter! The one who asked me what I was doing, I said,“Sharing the truth, with you!”

Not sure that I completely understand what you mean here! I, personally have never advocated the idea that it doesn’t matter what you believe as long as you belong to Jesus! But, I do raise an eyebrow, when someone tries to add, or subtract something from the Gospel, or rebuke me for not believing as they do! Just like, I have NEVER put anyone down for going to a priest for confession; merely saying that I myself do not feel the need!

Not necessarily, but like many other aspects of our humanity, we tend to be products of our upbringing, and influenced by mentors, parents, teachers, and assorted others, who seem at the time to be wiser than us! Everyone believes what they believe for a reason, and we do not have the right to tell anyone, how to live, where to work, or what to believe! It’s like last night at the homeless shelter; my wife and I were witnessing to, feeding and praying for people from various backgrounds, ages, and yes, religious beliefs We just come from a position of Truth, address their needs, and give them comfort, encouragement and hope; no doctrinal discussions or debates! Let’s face it, most if not al of us will go to our graves believing the wa we do today! There will be complete unity, when we stand together on Heaven’s shore! No religious titles, no division, just saints, worshipping our Lord!

If you mean as far as believing what they believe; no, I don’t think we can narrow it down to just Christians! Why do people believe in ghosts, or that the sun rised in the east, and sets in the west? Because they have seen it! As far as Mormons are concerned, I learned a lot about what they believed in or didn’t believe in over thirty years ago, when I briefly dated a Mormon girl, and eventually went to church with her for awhile. The way I see it, whether a person is okay or not believing what they believe, once again goes to their upbringing and teaching! If instilled in someone at a early enough age, some things never leave them! As Christians, I believe that we are charged with spreading the Gospel of Truth
(Matthew 28:19-20), planting seeds of hope and encouragement, and letting the Holy Spirit fertilize them! I have met and worked with converts from many religions(even former catholics) who have all said, that they saw the Light, the Light of Truth! So, what do you propose we do? Round up all those who don’t believe as we do, and whip them into submission? I mean, I don’t believe in going to a priest for confession; does this make me a bad man?

You are so right, my brother in Christ!:thumbsup:To me, the only loss for Christ, is if one turns away, denounces God and abandons his salvation, turning to Satan! I mean does anyone really believe that God cares what denomination you espouse? Was not the church that Jesus(The Rock) established, done so for all? That includes you and me XavierLives! Salvation was not only meant for the Jews, but us Gentiles too!:thumbsup:It is sad that although we hope and pray for unity in the Body of Christ, pride and free will always prevent us from laying aside our diferences and loving and accepting one another!
