It will be a mere 97F today. Thank goodness it’s fall! 😬

We have had a nice break in the temps. Low 80s dropping into the mid 60s overnight. Getting to be more Fall like and some of the leaves are dropping.

I saw a sign in Augusta earlier: “104°”. If that’s true, it means Augusta’s highest temperature all year was not during the summer.

That does not surprise me. If feels like out summers last most of the year.

Yay! We have some rain forecast six or seven days from now which should drop the temp to the high 80s F! (If they don’t change it - again…)

We had a pop up thunderstorm last night. I went outside and stood in the yard.

Wow.
We got rain yesterday.

Roughly an inch inside half an hour.
Then it stopped and the temp climbed back up to the low 90s.

Humidity…great…thanks so much.

Well, I am slightly jealous! We’re not projected to get into the 80s during the day for another week or two. Then, it will still be in the 60s at night. 96F today and tomorrow… 😦

I know… the pine straw and leaves are falling all in our yard. Maybe they’re dying from a lack of rain plus the unreasonable heat…

Terrific fog this morning after days of truly vile weather…cold, wet and roaring gales. Temps in the low 40s

South Carolina too. Maybe it’s different in the northern part of our respective states, with the mountains and all.

Yes. My father lives in North Georgia. It’s cooler there he says. It’s supposed to get into the 80s F in a week or so. I’m looking forward to the cool! 😃

Beautiful change to more Fall-like temps in Central Illinois. 0500 and in the low 50s. Looks like the change will be ongoing (or at least for the next 10 days).

Sometime ago, during the winter, I was up ON Paris Mountain near Greenville, and it was snowing where I was, but kind of nasty and rainy down in the city, Now, I am no fan of snow (I lived in the midwest for a long time), but it was just so cool to be on the mountain where it was snowing whilst it was raining on the base. I actually like the rain, but it was just right nasty that day.
