It’s funny, when I first moved to Wyoming…my husband is a native…I thought it was beautiful but so desolate! Lowest population of all 50 states! Something like 90% of all people that live there, live in Cheyenne or Casper. So, even the towns are few and far between…long stretches of road with nothing but nature. It’s a harsh climate but, oh my gosh, does it have beauty! Some of the most breathtaking scenery I’ve ever seen is in Wyoming. The word vast comes to mind. The friendliest people you’ll meet also because you never know when you will depend on a stranger there to get you out of a snow drift!

You don’t live in Wyoming for big city type life…it has little of it though the two big cities are modern. And the fishing is amazing if you’re a fisherman.

I’ve been to Laramie. It doesn’t snow much there but a lot blows through.

I hope it dies down in strength CJ 🙏

Another frosty morning with a nice day of 13C to follow over here .I’m not missing the wind at all !

Back in my more adventurous youth, 😁, I took a bus from Los Angeles to Chicago.

The trip took me through Cheyenne. I remember that the bathroom stalls in the bus depot had no doors at all. None. Everybody could see you doing your business. Needless to say I didn’t use it. I took a tour of the city and the bathroom stalls I visited had no doors. Is this common in Wyoming?

The food wasn’t good either.

Didn’t have a good impression of that state.

I honestly don’t know! I’ve never used roadside bathrooms…always went to gas stations. I sure hope they’ve fixed that!

Restaurants in Wyoming are very hit or miss. I’ve paid big bucks for awful food and eaten at roadside diners that were delicious and vise versa. The best Mexican food I’ve ever had was in Lingle Wy …a little tiny town near Torrington Wy…which is hardly bigger. There are also some great steakhouses featuring Wyoming beef that are outstanding. It’s one of those things where you would probably have to ask the locals…if three of them recommend a place, it’s probably good. I agree that many places aren’t!

The one state that I visited that had excellent food was New Mexico.

Any eatery or restaurant I went to didn’t disappoint.

It was always delicious. 😋 Every one of them.

Unlike Wyoming. 😒

When I’m in NM it’s green chile for breakfast, green chile for lunch and green chile for dinner.

The best green chili I’ve had was in Tucson Arizona.

New Mexico also has very good barbecue.

Oh, I agree! NM has excellent food! @tad, while I don’t have their green chili with every meal, boy, is it good. So is their southwest chicken soups!

New Orleans seems to be on the worst side it seems.

Am I right? Trying to remember where New Orleans is located.

It’s at the toe of the boot right?

By the way, one of my favorite childhood memories is that of heavy rains hitting the tin roof of the house.

Looks like we’ll get the remnants of it here in IL Tuesday/Wednesday.
95°F, sunny and dry today.

The interwebs says heavy thunderstorms. I’d like to know where. I just hear a little bit of thunder. No rain or lightning.

It eventually did rain, but not heavy. Predicting floods this week. Joy!

The weather in Deep South Georgia has been horrid. It is rainy and muggy. Yesterday, it was rainy with a high of 89F, but it felt like 100F according to the weather people. I need a cabin in North Georgia or North Carolina! My wife and I have been looking at Blue Ridge, GA and Murphy, NC. We might rule out Murphy because they just built a casino there.

Let’s trade weather.

Here it’s hot as blazes here with no clouds whatsoever. Just the burning hot sun. 🥵 🥵 🥵

I need my cold water, 💦 💧

I hate hot weather.

I don’t mind the heat of the desert but I hate hot, muggy weather.

I find it hard to breathe and it triggers my asthma.

It’s so hot here. I want more cold breezes so I can just layer up and be comfy. ;;
