How REAL is Satan?

But we do. We believe In God the Father creator of heaven and earth. God from God, light from light, TRUE God from TRUE GOD. He is one in being with the Father.

No fairy tales, true facts.

Christ came down from heaven, died on the cross, Rose again on the third day and is seated at the right hand of the God.

If you do not obey the word of God or the teachings of his Church here on earth, what do you feel we can do?🤷

God says if you love me you will listen to the Church and obey the Church. Even God told his Aposltes he who hears YOU hears me. If you refuse to listen to the Church and obey his commandments what do you think we can do.

We have nor want to have any power over you. You have free will to either obey the Church or refuse to listen. God says to those who refuse to listen to shake the dust and move on.

If you want God he is easy to find! He made his CHURCH VISIBLE here on earth. For all to see. He is not hiding.

Yes, Rinnie, I know you believe all this. I’m just telling you, as one who has been on both sides of the fence, that if you want to reach the unconverted, you have to tone down the dogmatism a little. Most Americans have heard all our lives that “Jesus died for our sins and was raised the third day.” It isn’;t going to miraculously convert us to hear it the hundred and first time. When you say, “true facts,” we say, “prove it.” If all you have at that point is “obey the Church, it’s right in front of you,” then you’ve lost us. I know it seems plain as day to you, but take my word for it: it doesn’t to us.
Of course, if all you want to do is proclaim what you believe, there’s nothing I can do about it (to borrow from your phrasebook). But if you want the non-Christians out here to listen past your first words, you’ll have to do better than “God says so.” Up to you.
 
Satan is real read the book of revelation and it will tell you. But the biggest lie satan tells us is that he dont exist then the problems start. He is the great deceiver he can even immitate Christ to mislead us. 👍

Yes, the book of revelation tells us a lot of things, mostly resembling someone on a bad acid trip. So what? Every holy book of every religion tells us things that are all different. Why should we believe yours? And don’t say, “because God revealed it.” All the other books say that too. That is what you have to prove. You know, with l-o-g-i-c. You can’t just say “the Bible says so” as if that settles anything, because to us, it doesn’t. So you’ll have to work a little harder than that. Or if you don’t want to bother, that’s OK; we don’t have to listen.

Read (Matt 4: 1-11) 1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit out into the desert to be put to the test by the devil. 2 He fasted for forty days and forty nights, after which he was hungry, 3 and the tester came and said to him, ‘If you are Son of God, tell these stones to turn into loaves.’ 4 But he replied, ‘Scripture says: Human beings live not on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ 5 The devil then took him to the holy city and set him on the parapet of the Temple. 6 ‘If you are Son of God,’ he said, ‘throw yourself down; for scripture says: He has given his angels orders about you, and they will carry you in their arms in case you trip over a stone.’ 7 Jesus said to him, ‘Scripture also says: Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’ 8 Next, taking him to a very high mountain, the** devil **showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendour. 9 And he said to him, ‘I will give you all these, if you fall at my feet and do me homage.’ 10 Then Jesus replied, ‘Away with you, Satan! For scripture says: The Lord your God is the one to whom you must do homage, him alone you must serve.’ 11 Then the devil left him, and suddenly angels appeared and looked after him.

PJM, (Matt 4: 1-11) should tell all that satan is not a myth and (Matt 4: 1-11) shows you how we can know.

I believe he is as real as I am because we are both created by the same God.

I cannot prove that he is real but I know that i am real.

I have come to the conclusion that you simply cannot prove everything because faith is the stuff that is unseeable but seen in the heart.

And what does faith have to do with this rebellious angel? I take the good with the bad. To have faith in Christ is to know that He fought a real enemy.

Without understanding that there is a war between good and evil, then it becomes all relative, something gray, not white or black.

And accepting gray is dangerous. it is a target that is changeable.

To those who just can’t accept the reality of a real entity named Satan, well, I’s say you may have settled for gray.

Doesn’t mean you are not a good person, mind you. Just as taking for granted that a church goer is a good person.

All this just means that it is a settled firm decision to accept the story as it is told.

A person I know not believing in satan’s reality, invoked his name with something
like candles and incense in a dark room and started up a conversation with him
continuing into the quiet times of their day, inviting him into their life (all the while
not believing in satan’s reality). They kept this up for about a week. Something
unusual happened…and they stopped the conversation :eek:

I would NEVER do this…I do believe in its reality.
 
He’s real. I believe this even more now that I’ve dealt with a suicide attempt. One of his greatest tricks is to get people to think he isn’t there.
