1) Do not understand please clearify??? 2)Binding and loosening was given to all the ApostlesJohn 20:20-23.Matthew 16:17-20 is an act of faith that only Peter was given the Keys to the Kingdom. The assumption here is only Peter got the keys and no other Apostle at a later time or that it may have been excluded.John 21:24-25 telss us not everything Jesus said or did was written down. 3) I believe in a Mass after all a Priethood is to offer a Bread and wine Sacrifice to God. The Todah is the only sacrifice to survive the fall of Jerusalem in 70 A.D.We are the Priesthood according to Melchezidek, I believe the Agapy meal(The Mass or Liturgical worship) should be done in the home as it was in the 1st century.4) Jesus gave the Holy Spirit to all the Apostles once again John20:20-23.At Penticost he gave it to all. There are other Christian Churches that are 2,000 years old in Jerusalem,Euthiopia, and around the world. Messianic Jews have been around since the beginning of Christianity.
  1. “Power tends to corrupt and absokute power corrupts absolutely”–Lord Acton
2)Like I said, this is the Sacrament of Penenace and Reconcilliation…but the Keys went to Peter EXCLUSIVELY.
  2. The Liturgy if early Christiany was that of the Mass.
  3. Funny, most of the faith communites you mention are in communion with Rome!

#4 is not entirely true. The Eastern Churches did not fall under the Primacy of Rome. The Pope was for the Western rite of the Church which was mostly Europe, because geographic location at that time made things very difficult. The Byzintine Church later joined under the authority of Rome, but the Ethiopian Orthodox, Russian,Greek Orthodox never did. They were a part of the Church, but never under the authority of the Pope.Just among a few that had started with other Apostles besides Peter. James,John,Andrew, ect, ect. started Churches in other parts of the world other than Rome. John even warns his 7 Churches outside of Jerusalem (They were in a 50 mile radious on the east side of Israel) To follow Jesus Christ or they will be destroyed Rev. chp 2-3 and they were destroyed.
#2 is still an act of Faith, it presumes Peter is the only one given keys.
#3 I have no problem wit the Mass I agree it was apart of the Agapy Meal. I have a problem with who has authority to say it, when Heb2:9-10 tells we are all in the Priesthood of Melchezidek. All Christians are a Royal Priesthood, then we can say Mass in our homes as they did in the Early Church.

Study your CHurch history then we can talk.

I’ll leave the Biblical question alone for a moment (although I would be really curious as to how your comment in light of various passages in the Bible, including 1 Timothy 3:2 which explicitly allows bishops to be married - are those bishops not “true disciples”?) and ask you these questions:

Are Eastern Rite Catholic priests who have a house, wife and children not “true disciples”?

Are Latin Rite Catholic priests who have a house, wife, and children because they have converted and become priests not “true disciples”?
This was a plot point on the May 6 episode of Law and Order:Special Victims Unit. The only outwardly religious character, the Catholic Detective Stabler came across a converted Priest after the Priest adopted daughter is the victim of an attempted murder. At first the detective assumes that the Priest is lying and considers him a prime suspect. Even after he accepts him as a Priest he does not call him “Father” but rather “reverend”. It reminded me of Colonel Potter on MASH who would only use “father” in formal conversation as a rank but used “padre” in informal conversation.

yeah but I’m sure priests like being referred to informally at least occasionally (being they are addressed with so much reverence in their day to day jobs). Like an army officer (once he or she gets to know you) doesn’t want you saluting them all the time (they get sick of having to salute back).
