How to stand up to a bully in high school

My suggestion is that you go to the principal. If that doesn’t work, you go to the school board and the school superintendent.

I don’t think this means you have to be a pushover. Give the bully what’s coming to them. Let her know you’re not her victim.
 
I do not advise manipulation, but if you happen to be recording the next time she says something compromising, that is on her.

That could come back to bite you though, if she has no witnesses to what she does to you, but there are witnesses when you retaliate.

I would go to the coach in private and tell him of your concerns. If he indicates that he believes this builds character, let him know that you disagree and then go over his head to administration/principal.
 
This is an extremely charitable, yet effective way of dealing with a bully. Have a watch and make sure you watch to the end because he demonstrates his technique:
