There are many Catholics and Catholic websites that vilify and condemn these people.
I’ve never met anyone who does that, and the few websites I’ve seen that do it aren’t very Catholic. This website is certainly not among them.

I agree that a person who is full of brokenness and wounds needs to hear words of love, kindness, compassion and mercy before to help them heal, before they would be receptive to hearing about “the way they were living”

You say you have never met anyone who DOES this but have you met anyone who was DONE this? Have you heard of pregnant unwed mothers being sent away by their catholic families out of shame? It use to happen frequently… and not even that long ago.

Those families did that taught their daughters that having sex outside of marriage has punishments to it.

Society is too accepting of sin these days and the Children born in those situtions are the only victims

I completely disagree. Those families did it out of love of spiritual vanity. They were afraid that their image of being a pious looking family would be tarnished by the sin of their daughter. I cannot speak for all families obviously, but i have witnessed this first hand.

As a person who lived in an irregular situation for years, I can tell you I have felt many different things. Never once have i wanted the truth watered down or for the Church to abandon her teachings
I don’t doubt your experience or that others have similar ones. But I also know there are people who want the Church to accept their sin.
but I have seen 2 SSA men walk into a very orthodox church and get stared at and the gasps were audible. These 2 poor men walked out.
What on Earth were they doing to be identified as homosexuals? I am pretty sure most people don’t get in a fuss simply because two men walked into Church together.

Hands: we point them to the nearest Bible and tell them to follow it.

Feet: if they refuse to follow it, we follow Paul’s commands and boot them out where there will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Never heard of the Beatitudes, have you? Christians highly recommend them.

I’m so sorry for you. Your posts show a lot of hatred in your heart. That’s not what Jesus wants for us.

You cant show people the truth if you don’t get their attention first. These people are drowning in sin and instead of sending in a lifeguard, were yelling at the what to do.
That is exactly right!

I wish more people would understand that. We need to be the field hospital, and not the judge, jury, and executioner.

We should be welcoming everyone from all walks of life, and being a brother and sister to them. Once we have bonded with them, and they have experienced our neighbourly love, and we have journeyed with them can we offer thoughts, instruction, and guidance in a manner that would actually be received. 🌷

And also tell them that the Church loves them, and God wants all people to be near Him.

Of course he hated sin. I’m not sure who said Jesus didn’t?

Are you trolling on purpose? Or is this really what you believe?

Sin. Not the people who commit it. There’s a huge difference. I’m sorry you don’t see that yet.
So true!

And not only that we all sin!

Some have SSA and live it out, others cheat of their spouse, others masturbate and view pornography, some gossip, others rape and murder, some do shady business dealings, others abuse their spouses.

Many here seem to judge only the sins they can see, which is scandal aside, really quite perturbing.

Each and every one of us in the pews are sinners. If we regarded ourselves like humble sinners, we may have more compassion and kindness towards others and their life circumstances.
