A complete D at the moment. But always aspiring for an A+.
The battles are many and many have I lost but I will not lose the war.

I am always inspired by this quote:
"When you fail to live up to your Christian privilege, be not discouraged for discouragement is a form of pride. The reason you are sad is because you have looked to yourself and not to God; to your failings and not to his love. You will shake off your faults more readily when you love God than when you criticize yourself. You have always the right to love him in your heart even though you do not love him in your acts. God is biased in your favour. God is more lenient than you because he is perfectly good and therefore loves you more. Be bold enough to believe that God is on your side, even when you forget yo be on His."
-Archbishop Fulton Sheen (Preface to religion)

I have just completed a novena to the Divine Mercy for all of us struggling Catholics, you included.

Let’s face it , if it weren’t for the Divine Mercy , we have no hope.

Not worthy of His love or Him. Don’t understand why he created me. No matter what I do in life, I still have self-loathing, low self esteem. I was sexually abused multiple times as a child by several people (and blaming myself for it and thinking that it was my fault), my father committed suicide, I have seizure disorders, epilepsy, ptsd. I still soldier on, accept that it is my cross to bear, but I do offer my sufferings to others nonetheless. I attend church regularly, and participate actively and regularly in various ministries in the Mass, not for me, but for God and the faithful, but I often feel empty and unworthy, a hypocrite, and not a good catholic or Christian. Maybe # 7, #8, #5, but not proud of it, #2, not worthy of heaven.

Before I discovered CAF, I thought I was a pretty good Catholic. Now, I have zero doubt that I’m going to Hell.
