I’m not saying that, I just posted that atheists are not automatically immoral. I’m saying you put your faith into things that die and can’t save themselves from death. If the highest intelligence for you is man, then by default men are the gods here for you.
Now, since I have said clearly that I have no gods, and create none, you are simply lying. What is your goal in this lying?
If God gave you life that’s pretty much all you have, and all credit goes to God. If you blew me off I wouldn’t really want to do much to keep helping you along either.
If your god gave me life, this might make sense, but there is no evidence to suggest that he did.
Unless you believe the bible, which is loaded with contradictions.
I just look at this life like a dream, then we wake up to reality in Heaven. All the bad things will be like part of a bad dream, easily forgotten. All the good things will be good memories. So God isn’t torturing anyone.
I hope you don’t use this sort of thinking when considering environmental issues, or protecting an endangered species.
I hope that people will care about this world, since it is the only one that there is evidence for.
If people want to cling to this life as being all there is, maybe that’s all you will have for eternity, memories of this life to treasure. To me that’s what hell is, being all alone with your thoughts, and if they are bad thoughts it won’t be that pleasant. But that would be your own choice, and your own torturing yourself.
I already pointed out how your opinion of hell differs significantly from the biblical reports of hell.
Furnace of fire.
What a gentle, loving god.
You have the Bible, and people who say they have seen miracles. And prophecies like I gave you. And I bet you $100 if you prayed every day like I did for a year or two, when I used to be agnostic, you would see evidence of God for yourself.
But you didn’t see any ‘evidence’, you have a feeling that you are right, no more. Nothing outside your own mind.

so, you’d believe if God (in your mind) did not do such things?
No, I may believe if the level of evidence matched the outrageousness of the claims.
For mundane claims, mundane evidence will suffice. For such an extraordinary claim as the existence of a god or gods, much more evidence must be presented.

Like what? I’ve asked you several times to tell us what kind of evidence you would accept.

If, given all that information, they choose separation from Him… 🤷 What more can be done?
Why would a god create rational beings, then require them to suspend their rational faculties in order to show proper respect? I think using my mind as best I can would be better.

I refuse to accept that the catholic church is honestly interpreting the bible. They have too much money to lose to be considered an impartial source.
Is this an impartial statement?

Not quite true. We do not have the ability to build the some of the pyramids to the mathematical precision that they were built. But we do know what they are built from and how they were built, we could also replicate them. With the Shroud we not only can not replicate it but have know idea how it was made to begin with.
This is another example of jamming your god into a gap in our knowledge. Why is it that a mystery is immediately attributed to your god?
Does this mean that if the shroud is found to be a prank, you will stop believing in your god? If that is not the case, then why present it as evidence of your god?

What in my post suggested that God wants you to suspend their rational faculties?

What kind of claim are you asking me to accept?
Make it clear, too…no nonsense phrases like ‘god is love’ or suchlike.
You know perfectly well what I’m asking you to accept. Why are you being difficult?

Suggesting that I believe without having any reason to, suggests that I suspend reason.
As a matter of fact, I said the exact opposite. It’s almost as if you’re not reading my posts at all. Here it is again:
Bottom line – there’s no reason to think God is going to damn anyone without giving them all the information they need to make the right choice.

Now, since I have said clearly that I have no gods, and create none, you are simply lying. What is your goal in this lying?
Well you are in denial about it. Men are your gods by default if you reject any higher life form as God.
If your god gave me life, this might make sense, but there is no evidence to suggest that he did.
There’s evidence like the Bible, prophecy, what people tell you. Just not good evidence for you. Evidence is not necessarily the same as proof.
Unless you believe the bible, which is loaded with contradictions.
Many of those items in the long lists people spam around the Internet are easily explained and mostly exist due to taking verses out of context.
I hope you don’t use this sort of thinking when considering environmental issues, or protecting an endangered species. I hope that people will care about this world, since it is the only one that there is evidence for.
I didn’t say this life is not important, but it’s not the end either.
I already pointed out how your opinion of hell differs significantly from the biblical reports of hell.
Furnace of fire.
What a gentle, loving god.
The fire is your own regrets burning away at you, if you haven’t repented of them before you die. Like I said with those contradictions, they are mostly a result of misunderstanding of what the Bible is saying.
But you didn’t see any ‘evidence’, you have a feeling that you are right, no more. Nothing outside your own mind.
I just told you about prophecies of Israel and such. That’s real outside evidence, not just some feeling. That you may just think it’s coincidence doesn’t nullify it as evidence.

As a matter of fact, I said the exact opposite. It’s almost as if you’re not reading my posts at all. Here it is again:
…and they had better make what he thinks is the right choice, or it is a furnace of fire and gnashing of teeth.
