It’s not too hard finding a person with the gift of speaking in tounges
here.

What is difficult is to find someone with the gift of interpretation.

Prophecy - much to be preferred, is only rarely mentioned. It is also almost completely misunderstood. It it intended for the building up of the Church - as are all charisms. But prophecy is one which, practically speaking, involves encouragement of the faithful. It is a gift which ultimately and forever changes the recipient, their faith life, their interaction with others…in short, everything.

Tongues is a situation in which we are distracted by that man behind the curtain. You see how many condemn the charisms without understanding them or their purpose? This is tragic.

Of course! All are different and have different purposes. Rather than “private” most all are intended to be very public - but not showy like the Pharisees. Rather than be envious or disdainful or concerned or frightened, we should be thankful that God had graced, via His Holy Spirit, those on earth with the various charisms.

The Church is built up, increased, multiplied, solely by the Holy Spirit working through the charisms given to each of us. And, charity demands that we assume those charisms to be real and true - all the while testing them, as they are in the spiritual realm after all.

If a charism leads to humility, unity and charity, you may be assured that it is from God - the evil one cannot and will not do that.

Lol do you have a video? I’ve got see this.

My dog also snores, just like an old man would do. He also tries to vocalise his whines and barks when he is awake. I’m sure one day he is going to to turn around and recite Shakespeare, it’s only a matte of time 🙂 I wouldn’t be all that surprised.

Dogs get quite vocal at times. It is just that most people don’t listen. (This is true of whether they listen to their dog or to other people.) I had a dog that used to say in his sleep, “I love you sooooo much!”)

He has died since, but I will always remember him. I guess he learned that sentence because I said that to him all the time.
