Oh my, I can just imagine in my own life…being a manager, sitting at my desk…my assistant brings in a report and coughs nervously…“ma’am, your associate was arrested today for jogging naked”

Yup…I’d have to sip my starbucks for a few minutes before continuing that day! 😃
😃 😃

-Peace-

I think this is the only posting where I have read each thread thoroughly… everyone here is asking me what is so funny.

Maybe there’s something wrong with me. I’m not seeing the humor in this situation at all. What I see is another priest who decided to place his disordered desires above his priestly vocation, and thus managed to put another black mark on the public face of the Church. I pray to God that he hasn’t exposed himself to other children so the diocese can avoid major lawsuits, the resulting publicity, and the potential financial damage (as well as the use of the hard-earned money donated by the faithful).

I’m sorry, but IMO laughing at this situation sends the very public message that we don’t take these things seriously as a Church. Our Church may have the fullness of truth, but we sure don’t need any more lousy PR. 😦

I am with you, I fail to see any humor in this, it is what I was trying to say in my original posts. The Church has been through so much with the sex abuse scandal, we are just trying to recover.

The fact that this Priest was even in a position were he could have potentially gotten himself into this situation is inexcusable.
Your absolutely right it does send a message that The Church does not take this stuff serious. He does have a history which did involve children, he should not have been assigned to another Parish as a Parish Priest. It makes you kind of sit and hold your breath just waiting for what you will hear next!

It is not funny, it makes me very sad for The Church!😦

We’re only laughing to keep from crying. With everything that’s going on it seems that about all we can do except keep praying…

Sounds like a touch of mental disturbance to me. Maybe an adjustment of meds is needed.

Ahimsa:
A very distressing story. The lack of immediate action by his Superior is also distressing, and embarrassing for all Catholics.
