I lost it yesterday with my baby and family, please help

Sleep deprivation can really affect one’s mood, clarity of mind, energy level and overall well-being.
As a person who has struggled with life long chronic insomnia, AMEN! As a little kid I found it strange that everyone else in the house slept all night long and I’d just watch them or go turn on the TV and watch it without the sound on.

There is a great show on Netflix called “Awake”. People have to compete after being awake for 24 hours.

Sleep deprived driving is as bad or worse than drunk driving. Getting enough sleep is not a luxury!!
 
Thank you so much I can’t believe I did not remember mineral ice I used it so much before! I will start asking my 17-year-old daughter to help more but sometimes I worry that she might be a little clumsy with the baby and something will happen
 
Having a baby is exhausting and emotionally taxing. Sleep deprivation is used as torture for POWs, lol. Give yourself a break. There’s no way to not feel frustrated. We can only choose how we act, not how we feel. I would suggest if you are holding the baby the entire time as you put him to sleep, to simply put him in his crib and let him fuss for a bit. It won’t harm him, and will help you have a breather. Put in earplugs or stand on the porch and enjoy the night air and the stars for a couple of minutes. Remember, this stage only lasts for a season, and soon you’ll be through it. But it sure seems like it lasts forever when you’re in it!
