I pray Father John Corapi would come back!

Recently I stumbled upon Father John Corapi messages on YouTube, and really like how he broke down the truths of scripture. Then, I read about his fall from the Priesthood. I know St. Peter denied Christ three times and came back in the full power of Christ and the Holy Spirit.

I pray the same thing happens to Fr. Corapi and he comes back with his incredible teaching for us to hear on YouTube.

Me too!

I heard he has returned to the priesthood but quietly, no longer travelling to give conferences. Can anyone verify that?
 
No news about him for several years now. I wish him the best.

I hope so. Maybe his superiors have him in a earthly state like purgatory at a monastery somewhere for purification.

If that was their intention, he stated that he had other ideas:

One person on the trail reached inconclusive answers that neither indicate nor totally rule out his return to his order.


There doesn’t seem to be anything else. Whatever he’s been doing in Montana, it has been discreet. I would guess he’s devoting himself to prayer, writing and whatever productive activity he needs to do to support himself and socializing only with people he can trust to be discreet and not tell his business to the whole world.
 
Well I hope he reads this thread that the Saints want him back. Whatever chains if any are holding him back, I pray by the power of Christ Jesus our Lord, he be set free and filled afresh by the power of the Holy Spirit to proclaim the truth again.

St Thérèse of Lisieux dreamed of being a missionary, but her health prevented it. The best we can hope for him is that he is ardently listening for and following the will of God. If that means staying hidden, so be it. That is what he ought to be doing.

Very true. God’s will 1st in all our lives. Still hope he will come back soon.
 
Pretty sure that he has been given the penance of a lifetime of solitude and contemplation. We have his message, which is the message of the Church. As sad as his case is, it stands as a stark reminder that the evil one prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

As much as we miss him, we are not a cult of personality. I can only pray that he is in a state of grace and is 100% obedient to his superior.

Can you recomend any other Priest that on YouTube that presents God’s truth as good as he did?
 
Bishop Robert Barron for one. Fr. William Nicholas for another. Father Mitch Pacwa, Father Larry Richards, Father Wade Menezes, Father John Riccardo…

I mean, he specifically asked for priests who give talks on Youtube. There are plenty. I personally like Fr. Pontifex (Fr. Claud Burns), and watching old videos of ArchBishop Fulton Sheen

Nature abhors a vacuum. Someone will come along sooner or later. I’m sure when Bishop Sheen died, people thought no one would ever be able to take his place. Yet we have many competent and interesting apologists for the Faith who are active at the present time. Father Corapi is only one of many.
 
I miss him very much and check for news about him from time to time.
