I wish to find a nice husband

I am alone though not lonely. I am attractive and a nice person and with a good reputation. Unfortunately I have not met the right man with whom to form a family and I am wondering if I ever will.
I have prayed to St. Anne but nothing yet.
I prefer not to marry unless my heart is in it as divorce is not in my book God willing.
Any other Saints to pray to?
 
I’m a nice husband… but I’m married already;)

Just be yourself and be patient.

I was 32 when I got married.

Pray to St. Joseph.👍

St. Jude? Oh wait. Sorry, that’s just how I’m feeling about it right now!

I’ve heard St. Joseph and St. Elizabeth of Hungary are good saints to pray to on this one. But since I still haven’t found my future husband, feel free to take that with several large grains of salt…
 
Well I dont know if I’m a match for anyone here, but I’d like to think I’ll be a nice husband for some woman. 🙂

I’d like to find a nice, Catholic husband too!
And I pray for him every night.
I find consolation in thinking that God is preparing his heart right this second so that we can both be ready at the same time.

I will add you to my prayer list. God will provide for us . .it’s just that His time is not ours

I would also consider praying for the intercession of Blessed Louis and Zellie Martin (parent’s of St. Therese). The way God brought them together was absolutely beautiful:
A mysterious incident facilitated the acquaintance. One day when Zélie Guérin was crossing the bridge of Saint Léonard she met a young man whose distinguished appearance, dignified bearing and reserved manner made a favourable impression on her. I feel ya, girl. I feel the SAME way, but I’m 26, so I tell myself to be patient. Which, most of the time I am. On the rare occasion, mostly around holidays is when I notice that I am single.

ditto! 🙂 -Although, I don’t pray for him, I guess I just assume God will take care of it for me. When you pray, can I ask what you pray for about your future husband?

I pray that he knows God and is a practicing Catholic . . I pray that he will be open to a wife and children (I already have one) . . .I pray that God will bless him and protect him . . . that his heart will heal from past losses . . . . that his heart hasn’t grown cold from past hurts, selfishness or indifference . . . and that he will find me soon!

A wise old priest once advised that if I give my heart to God, the man who is right for me will only find me by finding God first.

Oooh! There’s a quote on that that I have! 🙂

Those are good things to pray about! I do think about qualifications, if you will, that I want my future husband to have, and a strong Catholic faith is at the top of that list! Along with wanting to get into foster care. I like your prayers. I never thought about doing that for someone I didn’t know or haven’t read about or seen before. I think I might pick that up. Thank you.

You can always pray for people you don’t know . . . people you haven’t met yet. . . .

I have a little girl and I pray for her future husband - and that will be a long way off - but I pray God keeps him chaste and helps the boy grow to be a gentleman.

My “qualifications” are a man who seeks God first, non-smoker, and enjoys kids. . . . all that stuff about height, weight, hair color, etc doesn’t matter much if he is a good Catholic husband!

I agree. When I’m around people who smoke, I just want to say, “What a waste you pay to slowly poison yourself.” I hate it. Also, I too, agree that looks aren’t as important as who he is as a person. A devout Catholic man with strong convictions is what means most to me.

It’s so wonderful you pray for your daughter’s future husband. I pray for people on here, but I never thought to pray for a person I have yet to come across. What a good mother you are. Thank you for adding me to your prayers, I will add you to mine.

I live in California, and I’m 36, so I would say I’m best suited for a woman roughly my age (late twenties to early forties.)
 
Maria Emme, it sounds like you have a good heart, and there have been some very nice replies. I wish to second what the gentleman above said, as I am looking for a nice Catholic wife. Now, I don’t know if this is the right place to find that person, but it is definitely the place to go to ask for prayers regarding this. Prayers for all the singles out there will be added to my daily rosary.

You’re right, it’s not the point of this site, however I know several couples who have met here. You never know. 🙂
