I don’t know too much about the soup kitchens; but I do know that the LDS Church cooperates quite extensively with the Catholic Church in humanitarian relief work, especially overseas. Because the Catholic Church has had a longer presence in many third world and African countries, they have a better network for extending humanitarian relief in those areas, and the LDS Church has over the years donated many millions of dollars to the Catholic Church for humanitarian relief in those parts of the world.

Hi to you too. I don’t recall your screen name. Have we met before somewhere?hi zerinus; wow never knew good for you all thank yous.
I agree with you 100%. In fact the LDS Church has not only donated money to the Catholic Church for humanitarian work; they have donated money to the Catholic Church for the Catholic Church!
You know something? Despite our beliefs that vary, I believe with all my heart that works like that please God (when we work together to help the less fortunate).
That is precisely the core of the Christian message.
Well, if they became Catholic converts, then they shouldn’t be speaking ill of their former faith. As for Mormonism, I don’t know much, but I’ve heard things. However, just as the Catholic faith has been misrepresented, I wouldn’t believe what I hear without talking to the source.I agree with you 100%. In fact the LDS Church has not only donated money to the Catholic Church for humanitarian work; they have donated money to the Catholic Church for the Catholic Church! There is a Catholic Cathedral in Salt Lake City which a couple of decades ago needed extensive renovating. There weren’t enough Catholics in Utah at that time to be able to raise enough money to renovate it; so the LDS Church helped raise funds from Church members to donate to the Catholic Church for renovating the building.
LDS and Catholic Churches are good friends. It is only Mormon apostates here who have a private agenda for wanting to give the opposite impression.

Glad to hear you liked them. We call them temples!I love how beautful their cathedrals are. Saw a beautiful on in San Diego.
Thanks. Good to see you around too.hi zerinus. i don’t think so. i kinda new here. i definately learned a lot here so far. i don’t have very much knowledge concerning your faith. i probably know more about the apostate mormons than the originals. and that is very very little. keep the painted side up
Satan is a cherub not a real snake. There was no real snake in Genesis. If it were a literal meaining, is it your contention that out of all the animals, the snake was the only one that could talk?
He is still a beast of the field in the Garden. As the cherubim in Ezekiel are also beasts.Besides, Revelation defines who the serpent is…not an animal, but the devil, Satan:
It was a good thing sent by God to heal the people, then the people spoiled it by turning it into a deity Nehushtan. As Christians have done with Jesus. He compared himself to the Brass Serpent for a reason.I’m sorry to spring this on you, but that serpent that Moses lifted up was a fake serpent…an idol. They used a fake serpent to combat the real serpents that had attacked those who needed to be healed (read in the passages from which John took that verse in Numbers 21:
Satan is a cherub not a real snake. There was no real snake in Genesis.
No, the Garden is in Paradise, not even in this world, where the beasts there are cherubim and such. Satan/Serpent wasn’t a snake but a cherubim. Satan knew when man was created that he was to be a servant to man, not the biggest baddest in the Garden, so he began plotting right away.Isn’t that what you were implying by stating that he was a beast?
Well, up until that point, had he crossed God?
If not, wouldn’t he still be the most glorious of Archangels?
That passage is regarding one’s faith. It comes from a compound verse:
John 3: 14
“And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; 15 that whoever believes may in Him have eternal life.”
It has nothing to do with the snake, but with the people’s “faith” in being healed. What was it that healed the persons bitten by snakes, the brass serpent? No…it was their faith. Just as it is one’s faith that saves them with Jesus.
No, the Garden is in Paradise, not even in this world, where the beasts there are cherubim and such.
Garden in Paradise?
You can’t get to it from this world.Garden in Paradise?
But The Bible tells us that The Garden of Eden is in Iraq? You can’t get to it from this world.
Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Yes I don’t think you can get to it unless God lets you, like in the other dimension. But The Bible tells us that The Garden of Eden is in Iraq?
So then your assertion is a personal (and not scriptural) belief then?Yes I don’t think you can get to it unless God lets you, like in the other dimension.
Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
“To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life” means to me you can’t get to it unless God lets you, what does it mean to you?So then your assertion is a personal (and not scriptural) belief then?
What?:bigyikes:Cherubim
Ezekiel 1:10 As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
Ezekiel 10:8 And there appeared in the cherubims** the form of a man’s hand** under their wings.
When God said" Let Us make man in Our own image." in Genesis, Who are the “Us”**,
5 And from the midst of it came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance: they had the form of men, 6 but each had four faces, and each of them had four wings. 7 Their legs were straight, and the soles of their feet were like the sole of a calf’s foot; and they sparkled like burnished bronze. 8 Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. And the four had their faces and their wings thus: (Ezekiel (RSV) 1)
If the cherubim had a man’s face and hands it is reasonable to assume we are created in the physical likeness of that and they were there when God created man. As well as being created with abilities to love, hate, etc. like God. Don’t you think? If you go back and read this in context you we see that the description that you provided is referring to the “likeness” of “four creatures” and does not mention anywhere that these “creatures” helped God create man. Besides, it is written; the “likeness” of “four creatures”, not “the four (actual) creatures”. Do you know what “likeness means?
