If Jesus was really and obviously the Messiah, then why are Jews still adamant that he is not?

which isn’t Jewish though. Messiah won’t be someone who “vanquishes all the enemies” but someone who will be a spiritual leader. The concept of Jews is rather that of loving kindness. When Moshiach comes every day will be Shabbat.
So Jesus didn’t provide “loving-kindness”?

He wasn’t sufficiently the spiritual conqueror of the hearts of men?

I’m afraid I’m unable to sufficiently judge and answer this question. Everyone provides loving kindness though in one way or another.

Of course Jesus provided loving-kindness. But that is not the sole criterion for the Messiah. There are certain tasks the Messiah is expected to perform successfully, including an in-gathering and return of the Jewish people to Israel, peace among the nations (rather than military conquest), realization of the veracity of the Jewish Law (Torah) without, however, forced conversion to Judaism, a return of the Sanhedrin legal authority, and rebuilding of the Temple. Jesus did not perform any of these tasks.

The very notion of the Messiah is Jewish in origin. The Jewish people have been for centuries studying the Tanakh which gives the specifics of the criteria the eventual Messiah will fufill. So why, if Jesus is obviously this Messiah, then why does the Jewish religion and people as a whole reject him?

Certainly to my mind Jewish people would have the best idea of who the Messiah is and so would have been able to recognise Jesus if he really was the Messiah?
If you remember in the O.T. when Moses comes off of the Mountain he wears a veil because the Old Cov. passes away and the New Cov. will come.

When you read 2 Cor. 3:11-18 it explains that the Israelites could not look intently at the face of Moses because its Glory that was going to fade.

To this day when Moses is read it explains a veil lies over their hearts. That veil cannot be lifted until they see Christ. It is the Glory and truth of Christ that lifts the veil.

If you read it says Christ is unlike Moses who veiled his face from Gods reflected glory. It says because of the veil their thoughts were rendered dull for to his present day the same veil remains unlifted when they read the Old Covenant because through Christ its taken away.

If you look at the Jews who continued to test Jesus he also explains this. He tells them they will listen to Moses and obey his laws but refuse to listen to the Son of God.

Jesus said I will tear down the temple and rebuild it in 3 days. Jesus continued to refer to his body as the temple of God. A temple is something that contains God. Jesus was the temple that contained the word of God.

He told the Jews he would tear down the temple and rebuild it in 3 days. They laughed at him. Jesus died on the Cross and rose again on the third day.

God is the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jesus is God the Son.

There is only one God, But he can pick and choose how and when he reveals himself to us.

He revealed himself to us in the O.T. as the Father, in the N.T. as the Son. and today he reveals himself to us through his Holy Spirit. God is with us always in our hearts our souls and our minds.

Jesus filfills the O.T. by his sinless life
Fulfills its prophecies by his First Comming.
Fulfills it by his death by his resurrection.
Fulfills it by his establishment of his worldwide Church.

He tells us he will fulfill the rest by his second comming.

Christ fulfills geographical promise but it raises the stakes. He sends his Disciples to ALL Nations.

ITs a Spiritual warfare not a military one.

The calling of the first Joshua after Moses is Spiritually fulfilled by the later JOSHUS.

Jesus’ name in Hebrew is JOSHUA! This is also my Sons name,😃

The new era of Salvation is of course Jesus. His first comming is how he saves the world.

By his first comming some of the prophecies have been particially fulfilled. Comple fulfillment wiil be as he said in the 2nd comming. Joel explains this.

Also Jesus did not come to abolish the laws of the Prophets he came to fulfill them.

He is not against the law he honored it. He came to make a change from the Old Covenant to the New.

His problem was not by the Jewish laws it was by the leaders who were teaching it. The Civil Laws and the Religious law tied together.

He told them you clean the outside of the cup and dish but the inside is full of greed and self indulgence.

Exactly like people today, they can go to church, not drink, etc feel they live religious lives on the outside.

But can they live the commands of the Lord on the inside. Do they Love not hate, not have anger, Jealously, lust, gossip, you know the deadly sins.

You can obey the commandments like not commit adultery, but do you do it in your heart. Etc. Jesus was the only one who could fulfill all of the ten commandments perfectly.

This is exactly true. Which is who Jesus is.

Jesus wants all men and women to enter heaven. He died for all sins of all people.

He came here to take away the sins of the world. He gave us all a chance to return to him on this earth.

According to the Talmud, the Messiah must come in or before the year 6000. Each thousand years represents one day of Creation.
I am not sure about that, but if that is true he fulfilled that. He came long before that.

But he will come Again in glory but noone knows when that is, Only God.

So again, are you saying that Jesus fulfilled the prophecies in a SPIRITUAL sense, whereas the Jews are waiting for a Messiah to fulfill the prophecies in a LITERAL sense?

If so, how do you believe Jesus will return in his Second Coming?

He told us he will come through the sky the same way he went up he will come back again. To judge the living and the dead.

The dead will rise from the ground and it will be the day the world ends.

But it will only end the way we know it. The good will be with Christ. The evil the ones who reject God will be thrown into the eternal fires of hell.

Remember hell is eternal life without Christ.

It will be a great day indeed. There will never be anymore suffering, death, etc. Basically it will be the earth it should have been and was before the sin of Adam and Eve.

If Adam and Eve would not have sinned there would have been no death, no sin. The world will once again become the garden of eden. Heaven ON Earth.😉

Maybe somehow through all of our own sins we all will privately learn our lesson.

But remember Jesus has not fulfilled all that he has promised. He promised us he will indeed come again in glory to judge the living and dead and his kingdom will have no end.

He told us to live our life everyday like it is the last. Remember what he said about the thief in the night, if the people in the house knew when the thief would come they would be ready for him.

That is how Christ will come, when no one expects it. People will be working, some will be sleeping, dancing, etf. It could be within the next second or it could not be for a million years. No one knows but we must always be prepared and love oneanother and be kind to oneanother.

Could you double check, please, but only if it’s not too much hazzle for you. As far as I’m concerned it was before 7000 as this is when Shabbat will begin and he should come before Shabbat, so he should come until 6999 latest I thought?

Hm, isn’t it about then that the calender breaks down - Passover becomes a summer festival instead of a spring festival, for example?

Is it? I don’t know. This is getting more and more interesting…

And, with some reflection on how you have interpreted Jewish Scripture to verify that Jesus (in His First Coming) is the Messiah, would you say that all that you write here (about His Second Coming) will LITERALLY come true?

Thankfully, thousands of Jews all over the world are now believing that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and many are returning to Israel as Christians.

Praise the Lord! It’s all in God’s ultimate plan. We are all just bystanders; however, it is still our duty to tell everyone that we meet in person or online that Christ is their Savior.

May God bless you in all you do this day and until eternity.

As I remember it, our version of the lunar calender is a few minutes out in terms of the solar year so that, eventually, we’ll have a Passover in June which is not possible. It could be that they’ll drop the extra Adar sequence sometime to balance things out again.

Haven’t thought about that. But as you said, we can always skip one extra Adar which is an excellent idea and probably what they will be doing in order to balance things out.
