Placido,No, the Ark is a different topic. This one is about whether Mary is Mother of God or not.
Giving birth is being mother. The Bible says clearly Mary gave birth to Jesus; the Bible refers to Mary as Jesus’ mother.
Now, if Jesus is God and Mary is His mother, then Mary is Mother of God - just like that. What remains is to accept what the Bible says. We Catholics already do.

The Bible never said Mary is the mother of God. I am very sure of that.
Mary gave birth to the Son of Man Jesus. Who is also the Son of God as a result of the conceptualisation by the Holy Spirit, not Mary.
God is omnipotent, Mary is not. Just because God’s Son came to earth through her does not make her His mother. It is at best only a figure of speech to call her the mother of Jesus.
