ObamaCare needs to be tweaked, not thrown out all together.
I believe those who like their present health care should be allowed to keep it.
But those who want a government sponsored program should be able to get that.
We are the richest country in the world.
But we pay more for health care than any other country in the world, especially when it comes to drugs.

I firmly believe that this is because of government involvement and insurance companies. I see them as the root of the problem, not the solution.

I disagree. I believe that Obamacare has been nothing but harmful to the vast majority of people. Some people have benefited, and I am happy for them, but the government should not be involved in healthcare.

Where on Earth did you live that people would not help a family mitigate this problem for under $50? What a sad place that must have been.

You would use the force of law inflicting thousands of dollars per year for things they do not need on hundreds of millions of people because of things like this? Talk about a truly sad state of affairs.

We can only hope they do come back to “God-centered” issues and voting.

Affordable health care - the Democrats passed the affordable health care act. My insurance is now over twice as expensive for much worse coverage (deductibles are over twice as high).
Yeah, my medical insurance skyrocketed after Obamacare. It went up so much that I wasn’t making enough to keep paying my bills.

I had to reduce spending and during open enrollment CUT my medical plan to the cheapest option (aka the high deductible plan).

Obamacare hurt me big time

Unfortunately, I don’t see it happening. The Democratic Party is now part of the “Progressive Alliance,” an international association of political parties - many of which are socialist.

Honestly, I strongly believe if all pro-life Catholics would join the Republican Party, we could make it a “Catholic Party” by gaining a lot of pull & influence.

The family had plenty of money. They were just digging their heels in because they didn’t want to pay out-of-pocket. They were the hippie type who are okay with having parasitic infections, apparently.

As I stated, I live in a first world country. I don’t want to be associating with hundreds of people who have common, everyday contagious illnesses that can be taken care of with a visit to the doctor and a prescription.

It is a public health consideration. I don’t want to be going to work around a bunch of congested, sick, coughing people who won’t go to the doctor because their insurance doesn’t cover the office visit, the testing, and the medication. And that is exactly what happens.
I think it also has to do with not having sick days at work. If you dont’ have those it’s really tempting to come in and work b/c you need the money. In my field it happens constantly. And as a germophobe I’m none too happy about it…I also worry about if I get sick and have to miss work…I miss out on the money too.
