IF we had a female Pope, what would her title be?

Calling a female pope a pope would be no more unusual than calling a male nurse a nurse, even though he can’t breastfeed babies (except perhaps in those very rare cases of men with gynecomastia with galactorrhea).

The example given doesn’t make sense. A mae can be a nurse. Breastfeeding has never been a requirement to be a nurse. Malehood has always been a requirement to become the bishop of Rome.

Ficrion often relies on assumptions of the impossible. ‘The Wizard of Oz’ starts with the premise of a tornado that is at one and the same time powerful enough to lift and transport a house and gentle enough to not damage it or the occupant. In real life, an impossibility.

Okay, but would SHE be a heretic, or would everyone who allowed her to become Pope be a heretic?
(Those who ordained her and such. Also isn’t the Pope chosen by the Will of God via a vote so, forgive me for saying this, wouldn’t God become a heretic?)
 
I guess she would if she knew that this was heresy and consented to it.

For countless centuries, that was the ONLY requirement for being a nurse. You do know what the word originally meant? It did not mean “person who takes care of the sick”.

Validity of the sacraments, such the necessity of a baptized male for ordination or wheat for confecting the Eucharist, aren’t changeable.

Show me a Magisterial text that says a non-bishop (and therefore a woman?) cannot be elected Pope 😉?

That may cause speed wobbles for your logic…at least as stated.

Jesus used fictional stories all the time to lead people to greater insight.

Try the glass half full approach to life rather than the glass half empty curmudgeonly approach.

Sorry breastfeeding isn’t currently a requirement to be nurse. I’ve never heard of it being that but regardless, men can be nurses. And what’s so cute about what I said, I love cute things!

No. A non-bishop can be elected Pope but then they become the Bishop of Rome when elected Pope. And they technically also become the king of Vatican City. Women can’t do either of those.

The office of Pope is the office of Bishop of Rome. The two are the same.
To become a bishop requires ordination.
Anyone who knowingly attempts the ordination of a woman is excommunicated, latae sententiae.
Therefore, anyone who tried to do this would be automatically excommunicated.
The would-be female Bishop of Rome and those who tried to install her would be excommunicated by their attempt.
Therefore, it cannot happen. It could be pretended, but it could not actually happen. C’est impossible.

What would the pretenders call this woman? Oh, who knows. They’re in la-la land, so they might come up with anything. They might occupy the Vatican, they might charm the Associated Press, but they (whoever “they” would be, since it might only be the woman herself and those who knew her identity) cannot do it. Not may not, but cannot. If the attempt were made secretly, when it was found out it would simply be that the Church had been without a Pope for the duration of the charade and whatever the woman had done while pretending that office would be null.
