Well, I was welcomed into the church as of this past Easter and this might sound stupid but the reason I’ve never gone to a Latin Mass is because I don’t know Latin. lol. I would love to learn it but I don’t really have the resources to.
This may be a good start. Even if you don’t attend a Latin Mass, know that the language of the Mass you’re attending is based on the Latin Mass (or the Latin Vulgate, for that matter), in case you wish deeper meaning of the liturgy.

Hi Annabelle,

If memory serves me correctly, you had said befre that you were interested in attending but you were concerned about the dress code. So you did have somewhat of a desire.

Then you said in this thread that you have no desire because of the attitude of some in the Traditional Catholic forum.

So that’s why there is disappointment.
No…what I said is that I might have considered going but one of the things I would be worried about is the dress code… I never said that there weren’t other things that wouldn’t stop me from going…

Why are YOU disappointed in what form I attend?

I’m not sure why you’re not getting what I’m saying.

Let me make it clearer:
  • I personally don’t care if you attend the EF or not if you are not interested.
  • if someone is interested, than I encourage them. I think the EF is awesome! I thought you were interested at some point. I don’t have the time or patience to go through threads to see exactly what you said.
  • if someone is not interested either partly or because of a certain perceived attitude, than I should be concerned. If I have contributed in part to that attitude, I apologize. I do not EVER want to be the cause of someone avoiding a form of mass. Avoid it because it is not the style you like. If you avoid it because of people on this forum, then we are doing something wrong.
I hope I’ve clarified things.

You have…it’s not because of your attitude…I suppose it’s a mixture of some posters here and some from my childhood…and probably the distance too in all honesty. I am also VERY happy at my OF parish…

I hope I’ve clarified things.
