Iglesia ni Cristo members.. lets help them

It’s typical among INC of Felix Manalo to believe that the anti-Christ is the pope of the Catholic Church by simply quoting an old lies like the tiara of the Pope having an inscripted words “Vicarius Filii Dei” which was long been refuted as not true.

They also accuse the Pope of teaching a false beliefs among Catholics making him greater than Christ when he uses the title as Visible Head of the Church when in fact, their claim is more unbiblical when Felix Manalo regarded himself as the last Messenger and an angel, fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah.
 
Does anyone know of a place that I maybe able to get ahold of a recording of the debate between Karl Keating and an INC minister? I used to be in INC and still have many friends in it. Seems like few of them have seen a debate, but are merely told that it was a “victory” for the INC. Though from Mister Keating’s article it appears that even when many see the an INC minister lose a debate they still see it as a victory. Thanks.
 
hello matthew,hopefully someone here can help you with what you’re searching for.as far as i know,karl was debating with three inc members,they were ganging up on him.i attended several i.n.c. worship in the past,courtesy of my ex- lover.i had debated online and watched live debate between rc and inc members.believed me,no inc will accept defeat,even if it is obvious.many will resort to violence,including the burning alive and dumping on the river of five catholic youth when they defeated inc members on a basketball game.my ex used to throw bible on me,when i showed him that certain verses of bible he took from his chapel were deleted,compared to the rcc bible.it easy to detect inc members online,as many,if not all them ,will resort to cursing,villifying anybody that opposes their belief.again,accepting defeat is not in their vocabulary! the good thing though,is that,i have met former inc members, who realized that they were involved in a cult!
 
Yeah, Karl’s debate with the INC guy. i remember one time they say that saint thomas’ words “My Lord and My God” is just an expression very much like the present day “O my God”. Perhaps they will never tell about that debate. :cool:

An example is their teaching that the church that Jesus founded was apostatized. This negates totally Jesus’ institution of the Church in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus stated that he will build his church, AND THE GATES OF HELL WILL NOT PREVAIL AGAINST IT. I own a copy of that debate. The INC minister clearly lost that debate. And his tactics, as you will see during the debate were anything but fair. Those people are brainwashed.

And no wonder–they’re using a mistranslated Bible. Some of the things found in the INC Bible which would make one cringe:

Among the questionable (mis)translations are:

Bible= Gen.1:3 “Let there be light”
Lamsa’s interpretation ="Let there be enlightenment

Bible=Gen.2:9 “Tree of life in the midst of the Garden”
Lamsa interpretation = Sex , posterity

Bible= Gen.5:24 God took Enoch (Heb.11:5 States expressly he did not see death)
Lamsa interpretation= He died painlessly, he had a heart attack

Bible=Gen.3:24 wrestling with the angel of the Lord
**Lamsa interpretation ** = Being suspicious of a pious person

Bible=Ex.3:2 the burning bush not consumed
Lamsa interpretation = difficulties ahead difficulties will be overcome

Bible= Ex.3:5 Take off your shoes for you are on Holy ground.
Lamsa interpretation =Disregard pagan teachings, cleanse your heart

Bible= John 1 the word was God
**Lamsa interpretation **= the word is - a utterance, a command

Bible= John 1:18 the only begotten son
Lamsa interpretation= The first one who recognized the fatherhood of God. The only God-like man; hence, a spiritual son of God.

Bible= John 3:3 Born again
Lamsa interpretation= to become like a child, to start all over.

Bible=Jn.10:36 I and my father are one
Lamsa interpretation = the father and I agree.

Bible= 1 Thess. 4:17 to meet him in the air
**Lamsa interpretation **= to hasten to greet him

Bible= Rev.1:18 was dead and behold I am Alive forevermore.

INC members use 2 Bibles: the Roman Catholic’s, and the Prot’s. They don’t have their own Book.

When they pray they always end by saying “In Jesus Name.” Eventhough Jesus to them is simply a mortal being.

So you tell them about St. Thomas’ famous exclamation: “My Lord and my God!”, and they would respond that Thomas is wrong and that “My Lord and My God…” is just an expression of surprise!!! :confused: Duh!@#$

Also, they believe that everything should be in the Bible. But when questioned why they don’t pray the “Our Father” as Jesus has taught us, then they don’t know what to say.

Engaging them as a group is a no-no since they would be confrontational…very confrontational.

One way of helping INC members is to single them out, one by one. Then they start to become civil.

I’m presently trying to explain to my INC room mate what catholics do and don’t believe.

I ask for your prayers that the Holy Spirit may help us both and that somehow, I would be able to defend my catholic faith correctly…nothing more, and nothing less.

I asked why this is and was told they keep husbands and wives seprated to keep thier minds off each other and on the worship service or something along those lines. Also they say in the Bible it says the Church was organized so they seperate the men and women. Though asking a INC minister would certainly get you a better more complete answer.

Do they use Catholic editions? I always thought they just used Protestant ones. Though back when I was member I didn’t the diffirence so I may not have noticed.

Thats the natural behaviour of any brain-washed cult member. Iglasia ni “Cristo” members are very insecure of their faith. This can be witnessed in their reaction even to slightest criticism. Their members/administration usually go in hysteria, intimidations, threatening by suing court if someone somewhere says something not so flattering about their cult. These insecurities are the signs of their vulnerability.

Cult of Manalo is sustained by hypes. It is like an inflated balloon. All it takes is a needle to deflate it. Truth is the needle to the inflated Iglesia cult.

Falsehood cannot stand the truth

AFAIK they don’t use Catholic edition Bibles, only Protestant ones.

Basically contradictory, just as contradictory as their name, Iglesia ni Cristo, because they don’t believe Christ to be one of the Trinity, nor the Emmanuel.

For Catholics, what isy our suggested actions that could finally convince the INC of Felix Manalo to come home to the true Church of Christ? If they were brainwashed, what’s the anti-dote?
 
Hello everyone, I just joined the group. This is Dr. Lucia Teen from Quezon City, Philippines.

Before I proceed with my introduction, I would like to clarify that I am a male and I am not a doctor. The log in I use is just some sort of anagram of my real name. This log in or nickname also serves some security purpose…to confuse the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) if ever they decide to track me down.

I was born and raised in the INC. I have professed my faith in its doctrines when I was indoctrinated and baptized.

I have been a very active officer of the INC…from the local level, to the Ecclesiastical Disctrict, to the INC Metro Manila Coordinating Committee and to the INC Central Office.

I have persecuted Catholics wherever I met them…including the internet.

I was very faithful to God, and he must have been the one who held me up high, outside and beyond the INC. I realized that I have been deceived. The INC created a very unreal image of itself and distorted everything about the Catholic Church.

I gradually stopped attending the INC worship services in the year 2000. In addition, I was very interested in knowing what the Jubilee Year was about and my Catholic friends were very kind to tell me.

In January 2001, I joined EDSA People Power 2 and was disappointed how the INC Administration could not declare a position while it was obvious that they are supporting former President Estrada. When the conflict ended, I attended my very first Catholic Mass…the Thanksgiving Mass at the EDSA Shrine officiated by Cardinal Sin.

In March 2001, after declaring to our resident minister that I have stopped believing the teachings of the INC, I left it. I did not want to join any organized religion afterwards, but I was already praying like a Catholic. I began having a devotion to the blessed mother Mary and the Holy Family.

On June 3, 2001, after reading a missallete from a mass we were unable to attend, I was convinced that the Church that Our Lord Jesus Christ established did not perish or completely apostatized. Christ built his church and the gates of hell did not prevail against it. He also promised that he will be with his church until the end of time.

On September 9, 2001, I received the last of the needed sacraments to complete my conversion. I converted to the Roman Catholic Church.

For me, the most powerful and effective way to bring people like the INCs to enlightenment…is prayer.

Pray and let others see Christ in you.

If you have questions about the INC, I may be able to answer them. Please avoid sending private messages or emails as I may not be able to reply. Answering similar questions over and over again would be very inconvenient.
