I'm ok with hell

Sometimes I think that when we die, we are given a video tape (dvd. computer chip?) that contains every moment of our lives on it. Every bad deed, every nasty act, every moment of grace, etc.
And Hell is having all this played before you and Heaven is being allowed to view the edited version.

Hmmm. Interesting. In this scenario, I would think Hell would be looking at the unedited video and not understanding why any of our bad deeds and faithlessness should have kept us out of Heaven.

I think that Hell is when you just don’t care that you aren’t in Heaven…because, as Milton had the devil say, “Better to reign in Hell, than to serve in Heaven”…which is about as sad a state as I can imagine…

What a thought! :newidea: To not care that you aren’t in heaven. It is so unimaginable. Maybe hell is as mysterious to us as heaven. It is a place that is cut off from God in a way that we aren’t here on earth. That has always made it a bit mysterious to me. It seems to be in our nature to hope. That’s why I always liked the phrase “Abandon hope all ye who enter here” as a description.
