Wiccans are not evil (since nobody is claiming such and that would, presumably, include yourself) AND Wiccan, by practicing a false religion, practice a form of magic which IS evil.

i don’t think you should leave. it doesn’t matter if we all have different opinions or not. why leave? there are many of different beliefs here, and they hang around. so why leave? how are we going to know what others believe and why they believe it if that person/s leaves? how are we able to make friends or have
charitable debates if that person/s leaves? how are we going to get to know that person/s if they leave us?

i have had many a discussion, and have been broiled believe me, and took a breather, but i came back because i have friends here i really care about. how are we going to know you if you up and leave? just because we all believe something different doesn’t mean we cannot be friends, or at least sit down and rationally discuss things. its of no benefit to us if you leave.

so i say, welcome, pull up a chair and sit back and join the discussions, or start ones of your own, and we will join with you in the discussion. whether or not you agree or whether or not we agree, you can be asured that CAF welcomes all people.

I’m glad you’re staying. It can get pretty rough around here but there is so much a person can learn from these boards.

As for your question about why is it that nothing sticks to the original subject? It’s because interesting things come up in conversation. A perfect example is the ‘tiara’ talk on this thread. I personally was wondering what was on his head everytime I saw it. Now I know. Which leads me to this question:

If I wanted to start a thread on Papal headgear where would I put it? Traditionalism?

I think your presense in this forum derives from more than neopagan outreach/evangelism–I think the Holy Spirit is nudging you to the Truth–you think you’ve already found it, want to share it–and you are encountering people who have a MUCH bigger and clearer view of the Truth.

Many of us already know a great deal about Wicca & neopaganism–and there are some mighty fine people in those communities and some mighty big jerks in the CC.

Stay, learn, ask polite questions, start threads as you’ve been doing. None of us by his little lonesome is going to convert you–but the Holy Spirit is certainly using us and any other Catholic you come into contact with. The Hound of Heaven is stalking you, wether you realize it or not (please look up that poem by Francis Thompson)
